Welcome everybody. Just one simple question - is there any way to port Android 5.0 aka lolliepop on our Wave devices? We can seee images in nexus 4,7, some Xperia Devices. What kernel use loliepop? Can anyone try to port it? Maybe some of old developers? @Tigrouzen @adfree @volk204@blue96 @Rebellos and someone more... Please, its just one simple question. Thanks in advice! :)

Take a look at GS1 forum, if they manage to port android L, then it should be possible for us to port it.

We went from a very less working android to a fully functional Android, so why won't be able to port Lolipop? :D

3.04 for preview and 3.10 for official release.

It's actually using the same old kernel 3.4 on all devices using S4-S801 SoCs. S805, Exynos 5422 and newer SoCs feature the kernel 3.10 with newer and better memory and power management improvements. TI OMAP SoCs have mostly been discontinued and there isn't even any functioning kernel 3.4 for devices using them. At most you'd have to stick with the deprecated and obsolete 3.0 sources and resort to cherry picking/backporting patches from 3.4.

Porting 3.10.x to OMAP won't be a trivial task. A lot has changed since kernel 2.6/3.0 days and hardly any older libs/blobs will work with the newer kernel branches.

Do not get fooled. It hasn't been ported and probably won't. However it is correct that (when functional) 5.0 aries kernel could get used with not much effort in order to obtain 5.0 for Wave. Cross merging with our latest kernel repo should be easy.
