Well let's hope all that huge delay of releasing Android Pie has to do that Vivo tried hard to implement Fantouch 9.0 into Pie version.

Sorry , do you even read here? Version 6.13.4 for several weeks as it is on the XDA and the guys use it, and wrote good reviews.

It's nothing different from 8 so don't take the risk of going into beta, it will be all same if it is funtouch 4.5 whatever android version it be, main improvements are in funtouch os9. Thats the main thing.

But I don't understand this, why vivo is optimizing "Pinyin input method" in the Indian version!
Seriously, out of 8GB Ram, more than 1 GB Ram is being used unnecessarily in the background all the time by vivo's bloatwares which I'm sure 999/1000 of them don't use!
The touchpal keyboard alone with ~50-60 language packs have taken around 1GB of space! These options/apps should be optional and could be availed at Vivo's app Store for those who want, why they have a separate app Store if they don't utilise it properly!! ?
And about Pie update, now this minor update means, Pie is one more month away!!
Update: One thing is revamped, "Easy Touch"
This Easy Touch in this update is same as in the FuntouchOS 9! So this one they added before Pie update! Let's hope they bring in more features in the upcoming Pie update!

I think they'll release Android Pie for the global model directly with the new funtouch, so unfortunately we are going to wait a bit....
Why not? It's not so difficult release the global version, they don't have to work so much, just remove many Chinese apps, put play store, and add languages.

Android Pie for Nex S has been developed and design with Fantouch 4.5 many months ego.
That version gave it to Chinese version that version global version will get and Fantouch 9 in later update with unknown time being.
Could be 2 months could be 1 year.
Nobody knows.
Vivo until know show long long track record delays with major upgrade.
My personal prediction is first release successors of Nex S earlier summer with Fantouch 9 and then maybe Vivo think give it to Nex S.
We think theoretically as a fact but that not always the case in real life.
You and me just can just hypothetically can talk.
We are not software engineers IMO.
There maybe be dozens parameters we don't have knowledge and has to do with software updates.
As you saw I took them 4 months of beta testing program until release official stable Pie to Chinese version.
And why not released beta testing to global version so far??
