Today updated 47.2.a.4.41 ..... Scrolling lags are still there .... :( .... But for sure is a software issue ... because in OREO it was flawless and beautifully smooth .... (even with many more apps installed inside) .... I tried safe mode ... there seems it to be more smoother ... but after a clean install of pie ... the flawless is gone ... so somewhere has the engineer made a mistake ... I would stay with oreo but .... the upgrade would to me say everyday ... upgrade ... upgrade so .... (root is for me not the right way... i want warranty)

I find it strange that People still have issues with Pie when they claim they did a clean install.
I was running a really old firmware (may 2018) and last week i made the switch to .41 and didn't encounter any of the bugs mentioned in this thread.
Fot what its worth I'm running customized NOBA, with latest TWRP and latest Magisk.
I have deleted some system apps that came with the firmware (FB, avast antivirus, etc)
Pie gives me the same rock solid experience i have had with Oreo.

Just my two cents.

Yes, but you are not on stock ... This is the problem of stock version...

Its true that i have unlocked the bootloader and rooted my phone, but i have stock firmware installed downloaded with XperiFirm.
I assume you have received the .41 as an Over The Air (OTA) update?
Then i would advice you to back everything up and do a factory reset of your phone.

If you still have the same issues as before the factory reset, i will eat my hat ;)

So after literally less than one day after installing, you are basing the whole success/failure of a major update on scrolling smoothness? What ever happened to doing a factory reset after installing, and LETTING THE DAMN SOFTWARE SETTLE FOR A FEW DAYS BEFORE SLAGGING IT? Everyone expects instant smoothness/best results/ no lags when theres a million things going on in the background with a fresh update/install.

My region is 47.2.A.4.45.
Upgrade to pie through OTA before, lag and batteries drop quickly like hell.
So i used Xperia Champion to repair the software. Every thing works except WIFI.

WIFI always drop several times per day. And the WIFI cannot be turned ON again until rebooting the phone. After rebooting, the WIFI can connect instantly.

Sorry i have my experience.... lags are there until now... not seen on android 8 and sorry again, after the mirror update i have done the factory reset and cleaned cache ... everything installed fresh... lags - scroll lags are there.....

My experience was before with SONY Z3C that with a major update they made something wrong... but after a 1/4 of year they made a update and the lag was gone.... (problem is... that here we will receive only security updates... i think)

Under scroll lag understand ... when you scroll down a webpage in chrome ... it seems like the page would load itself... by slowing dawn of the scroll you see jumps ... somebody posted a video with scroll lag in the battery menu. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4cE6HJNxLU 19:50 (time)

sure it is a software problem ...

Hi guys, I bought my XZ Premium in December after enjoying my Z5 Premium for until it was stolen at my gym centre while I was in the shower....grrr! But the xz premium is a wonderful upgrade anyway. It came with Oreo 8.0 and I have never updated it since. I love everything the phone is doing for me. The only thing I wish worked was the blue light reduction mode but apparantly that stopped working since Oreo.

Is it ok to stick to Oreo 8.0? Am I making my phone more vulnerable, security wise if I don't upgrade to Pie? I ask because I hear Pie has some teething issues such as faster battery drain and annoying changes in UI or has those issues been fixed with latest update?

I did think about upgrading to Oreo 8.1 but I don't know if that is even possible without rooting.

My phone is not rooted btw, just normal off the shelf stock (no tie with any network provider either).

Hi guys,
yesterday I received via OTA the latest update (47.2.A.8.24).
Today I've noticed GPS does not work anymore!

Does anyone have experienced the same issue?

If I am you, I will stick with Oreo 8.0 till May or June 2019.
Oreo is so far best android software I ever used, especially on XZP.
It's lightweight, smooth, and feature full enough.
Pie get the device hot faster than oreo. And no significant update here except the convenient rotate button.
The sad thing in Pie is there is no night light. (You cN install built-in night light on Oreo)
