so, very sorry to hear about Mom,
A mom be is yours or mine or anybody close
is a blessings in disguise,
Keeping sentiments aside with due respect,
Did you ever allowed any PC for ABd as authorized device ?
Iam not a hacker but your situation has touched me,
I would have personally come over to save those memories 🙏 if you were from India 🙏🙏
please take a nanroid backup and keep it safe on Google or any other cloud.
Someone will certainly come up with a possibility for sure 😍😍

Hello everyone, I apologize if I didn't introduce myself in a good place. I have a problem that is too big for me but for you I believe it is not. And I offer a cash prize to whoever solves it for me, of course if I can and if it’s not against the forum rules.

The problem is my Samsung Note 20 Ultra 5G, my son has locked my screen and can't remember the combination of numbers. I tried through Google and Samsung Account but I didn't succeed because there is no option on the phone. It was turned on by Google but after a lot of trying I clicked Erase and deleted my Note from Google Find my mobile.
The note is mine, not stolen and the like. I have an account and I can provide the invoice, box and data from the IMEI number.
I don’t want to do a hard reset because I can’t lose the data I have on my Note. I want to bypass the pin entry but keep all my data on my Note and not delete it.

I'm not very good at hacking but I can try it myself. I would prefer someone to do this to me remotely via video call or if possible via IMEI number.

Can anyone help me here?

Hello! This looks great, but I guess I'm doing something wrong, I'm trying Method 2, and I have a Samsung S5 mini, which is locked, and a Huawei P30 lite, which works fine, it doesn't matter which phone I connect to the USB port, on both cases it doesn't show any devices when I issue the command "adb devices", it just says "List of devices attached" and nothing else. I know the Huawei is recognized because I can browse it from my computer, but the Samsung never shows up.
I'm using Ubuntu in a virtual box, and from there I can see my Huawei, its contents, but not the Samsung. When I connect the Huawei Ubuntu recognizes it and puts an icon of the phone on the left menu bar, and when I connect the Samsung it puts the icon, but I can't open it, I noticed it gives me the option to mount it if I right click on it, but it doesn't work, the Huawei mounts automatically, and if I right click on it, it shows the option to unmount instead.

Any idea would be greatly appreciated!

Hi everyone,
unfortunately my brother where murdered allegedly by his own wife and even tho his phone where took by the police as "evidence", the police forces in this country are really pathetic (well everything is pathetic here in Venezuela) they couldnt unlock my brother's phone. my brothers wife has contacts in the goverment (she is a police too and killed him with her reglamentary gun) and with the help of those contacts shes walking free right now, saying that my brother killed himself. the information in that phone (messages, whatsapps) could bring some air in the case and even result in her aprehension , but no one can unlock it.. is there a way?
i mean emailing to samsung (the phone its a samsung A02S), or google, or someone!?
or some command, or program or something?!
its really important, i need justice or at least recover his photos, his data, his memories...

I've been in a similar situation and sorry to hear about your loss. There are a lot of people on here who won't believe a sob story because there's a lot of theives who want to resell stolen phones, this means your help will be limited.
I've been told by Google to get a US court order and they will provide a backup of the account (photos etc), they won't give you the password to a phone or account.
I'm not sure how much it costs but even with a certified death certificate they won't help at all.
In my case, I got the NTLM hashes from the computer, obtained the password and luckily the password was the same on the PC and mobile, maybe that's something you want to look into.
Good luck!

when should the "mount" option appear on the 7th method? there is probably some "apply update from external storage" aka flash option only and that only reboots the device right after selecting it...
or the "apply update from cache" is somekind of "mount" option somehow??
method 1 didnt work either and it wont even see any devices in the "adb" methods?

does nor work anymore! For use
"Apply update from sd card" the zip must have a signature. so the error is " footer is wrong"

the other methods using adb are not helpful, nobody has enabled adb just for fun on his phone

I hastily tried to change my PIN cause my friends saw my old one and put something I forgot. I tried all these methods but couldn't get into adb/usb debugging. Finally I booted into TWRP recovery, which luckily has an inbuilt file manager (Advanced\File Manager). So I went and deleted the file gatekeeper_passcode.key in data/system and it worked. Took less than a minute. No PC or anything special required.

As of nougat, the files to be deleted are : gatekeeper.passcode.key or/and gatekeeper.pattern.key. Just delete these files or rename them and reboot. The passcode/pattern will be gone. CHECK EDIT BELOW.

EDIT: You wont be able to put a new pin/pattern by just deleting these 2 files anymore. You need to also delete/rename : locksettings.db, locksettings.db-shm and locksettings.db-wal. These 3 files are also located at data\system. Now your old passcode/pattern will go and you can put a fresh passcode/pattern.

    INSTRUCTIONS:

1.Download and Copy Aroma File manager.zip (Download from attachments) to your memory card.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! You saved my day!:laugh:
This worked BUT: The aromafilemanager.zip didn't work, I had to download it from here: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1646108
So, please update the link, with the zip linked above it worked perfectly! :good:

//edit: And there is one more very simple way, if you have activated the device manager as device administrator (for some odd reason my phone deactivated all device admins, that's why I locked myself out in the first way, I use TimePIN and suddenly my code and the failsafe didn't work ) :
Go to https://www.google.com/android/devicemanager klick on "lock" and enter some pin like 1234, the current lockscreen will be overwritten by the 1234-lock.
