What version are you using? I still don't have it on 3.5.048.

Restated my phone and checked the Play store. 3.5.052 was updated. Snag that update and restart and it's there.

Loving dark mode just hate that they got rid of the color options, it really helped with differentiating between messages

Really like the dark. Unfortunately, it took away my messages widget. Oh well, it's worth losing the widget for.

The dark mode is really pleasing, but for some reason they took away the color options for people. The bright blue on the dark background is not aesthetically appealing imo. Taking away the option to change colors may be a deal breaker for me.

Force close AM in settings, then open it again. You should see the new version. Then in settings you should see enable dark mode.

I don't understand why people get upset about Android Messages app getting dark mode, then losing it, then getting it again (in a staged rollout), when there are so many other messaging apps with native dark/theme support, not to mention other features not available in Android Messages....

Same issue here, playstore doesn't have an update option and force closing does nothing. Version is 3.4.048
