I'm assuming we can just update files via bootloader like we do with marshmallow? Just fastboot system, vendor, radio and cache or do we have to do more than that?
Yes. Fastboot flash the boot, system and vendor images, then flash FedPatcher / something similar to get rid of force encrypt

It looks perfect. Smooth AF

OK guys Just flashed. Bootloader is unlocked. I want encryption disabled. So these shall be steps or if any one can correct me.

1. Wait for Modified Boot.img with force encryption disabled
2. Flash Modified Boot.img
3. Flash TWRP
4. Format user data
5. Flash SuperSU.
6. Profit
No need to wait for modified boot image, just flash FedPatcher in TWRP

Hope someone will post the modified boot.img of np5
Just flash FedPatcher

I did that, but when I rebooted to twrp, its asking me to enter the password again right after formatting the data.
I am assuming you want to be decrypted.

Flash stock recovery
do a factory reset
Power off phone
Boot to to bootloader using power and volume buttons
flash twrp
go to recovery
Flash fed patcher
Flash SuperSU

I dont know if theres a problem with twrp that im using, like what Ive said I already did those, but upon entering twrp it keeps on asking me the password. It could be a modified twrp or boot image that might help.

Option #1. Run the following fastboot command then boot into TWRP. This will erase everything form your phone and it also removes encryption. Factory reset does not do this.

Fastboot format userdata

Then boot into TWRP and flash root, modified boot, or custom kernel to stay decrypted.

Option #2

Follow these steps but download the 5X factory image, as this is a 6P thread:
