Alright guys so i got my EVO today and ive finally make the switch from Windows Mobile. Which means, i know absolutely nothing about android.
Quick simple newb questions.
I see people saying that if you want to install a non-stock rom you have to "root" your phone, but you can't do that if you accept Sprint's new update.
What is "rooting" the phone? And if i do install the update will i never be able to install a different rom?
My phone is in a constant reboot and i dont want to go back up to the store so can i just reflash the stock rom? Does my phone need to be "rooted"? Will i not be able to "root" my phone if i flash the stock rom?
Thanks for the help guys!
