Nope - that's exactly the same situation I'm in.

All of the OXM releases are the same. They get released at different times in different parts of the world, but they all include the same contents. The CSC of your phone just makes it pick up the appropriate settings from within that release. So it doesn't matter which region you get the release from, it will still be identical to the BTU release, it's just that it has been released earlier in that particular region. Your phone doesn't notice any difference, and still remains BTU.

Ok thanks, also if I change from BTU to AUT I'm guessing we get any updates quicker then using BTU

Not necessarily. Your phone is still BTU, but I must admit, I'm not sure if it will pick up OTA updates again unless you use the actual BTU release.

The last few releases I've had via OTA, but normally, there's at least one full ROM release prior to the BTU OTA, and I just tend to grab that. Very occasionally, as has been the case for the last few months, the OTA does come out before the ROM is downloadable.

It's horses for courses. If you want the latest ROM without waiting, then flash any OXM version as soon as it is available - otherwise, just hold out for the OTA in your region.

My phone still says "BTU/BTU/BTU" in "Service provider SW ver." under "Settings|Software Version" however, using the "Phone Info" app from vndnguyen it does know that I got the ROM from the AUT region.

Cheers,

Steve.

Interestingly, these releases are not labelled up properly. They are labelled as CTD1, but their content is CTE9. You can see this if you look in SamFirm...
