If you're network locked, it may not start flashingAm on 02 UK. If I flash this fiimware what issue am I likely to face?
Not true, I'm network locked to Vodafone and I've got no issues....I'd you're network locked, it probably won't start flashing
If you're network locked, it may not start flashing
No mine is 02 but unlocked so am assuming should be OK. So there are no potential issues then? Not true, I'm network locked to Vodafone and I've got no issues....
I'm not so sure now the other chap flashed ok on Vodafone. No mine is 02 but unlocked so am assuming should be OK. So there are no potential issues then?
Mine is working absolutely fine. Locked to Vodafone UK.Available cscs below. If yours matches one of those, you can flash the uploaded update
Did you download and use the firmware in op?Mine is working absolutely fine. Locked to Vodafone UK.
No, i downloaded from sammobile.comDid you download and use the firmware in op?
Great so which one did you download please as I am hoping to get this done when am home thanks. No, i downloaded from sammobile.com
This one mate: https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/g...e/SM-N976B/AUT/download/N976BXXU1BSLA/308522/Great so which one did you download please as I am hoping to get this done when am home thanks.
The firmware csc is AUT you're on XEF which is also on the list in both our screenshots........Mine is working absolutely fine. Locked to Vodafone UK.
.........now I'm sure it's not exactly carrier dependent but your csc needs to be on that list I'm sureGreat so which one did you download please as I am hoping to get this done when am home thanks.
But you said and i quote "if you're locked to a network i wouldnt start flashing". I'm network locked to Vodafone and I've just proven that network locked phones can be flashed with no issues...The firmware csc is AUT you're on XEF which is also on the list in both our screenshots........
.........now I'm sure it's not exactly carrier dependent but your csc needs to be on that list I'm sure
And as were getting super nitty gritty I backtracked above. But you said and i quote "if you're locked to a network i wouldnt start flashing". I'm network locked to Vodafone and I've just proven that network locked phones can be flashed with no issues...
It doesnt matter whether his active CSC isnt included. Mine should be VOD - which isnt included. I flashed and i still have 4G+ service. I went to Gatwick Airport yesterday and 5G works too. So the information you're giving isnt correct bud.And as were getting super nitty gritty I backtracked above.
So it's not carrier dependent but won't flash if his active csc is not included in this exact firmware
Wrong bud! Mine was VOD BEFORE i flashed this. It's now XEF after flashing and it still works fine! And as were getting super nitty gritty I backtracked above.
So it's not carrier dependent but won't flash if his active csc is not included in this exact firmware
Yours flashed ok as XEF, your active CSC, is on that list in our screenies
True story mate!Honestly thought that wasn't possible lol.
Nevermind:laugh::laugh::laugh:
Interesting. This seems to set a precedent going forward in that case!True story mate!![]()
This is exactly the case on s8 and maybe so (not too sure though) but this seemed to have stopped when s10 was released. People having to use samkey to change cscIsn't that how you would debrand a phone.
Always used to be. Ideally you will need the BTU firmware when available (unless you want to go back to VOD)
