I am not exactly sure what to do with the patch files from the google drive for eu.
Download them in Google Drive (select them all then click download so it does it as a zip) then flash that zip in twrp. Remember to follow the instructions before they though.

If you try downloading it from your phone, it won't work as Google Drive mobile... Limited. You'll need a computer to download it.

won't work for unlocked eu
verizon failes to flash boot + recovery (unsigned error)
it boots to verizon 6.0.1
then fials to flash the ota7
same errors unsigned or corrupt error
guess unless we have a way to revert to real stock
we cannot proceed
pity moto wont let us d/l stock like in x series
might come later though

Thank you, I appreciate it.
I've added a new link for the firmware in the OP where I quoted.

"Unsigned image" isn't error at fastboot
And about ota7, are you sure you have downloaded META-INF folder?

Flashing Unsigned Zips without Unlocked Bootloader

bootloader locked
Oh, yeah no that won't work. You'll need to unlock it on the Motorola website. Unless, what you have is a Verizon Moto, which in that case you can just sideload my original ota.zip in recovery. (I just remembered that you have the EU model, so you can't just sideload, you'll need to unlock)

Remember though, unlocking your bootloader will erase all your personal data. Make sure to do an ADB backup for your apps, and put all your personal files, pics, etc on an sd card or something.

ADB Backup
Refer to post #3 for intructions on obtaining the adb binary for Windows, Mac, and Linux

Cd to the directory of the binary (Command Prompt for Windows, Terminal for Mac and Linux) (Linux users, it's already in your path if you installed it via a package manager, no need to cd). Windows users, type "adb backup -f motozbackup.ab -all". Mac users, type "./adb backup -f motozbackup.ab -all". For you two, it'll save to whatever directory the binary is in (your current directory). Linux users, type "adb backup -f motozbackup.ab -all" and this will save it to your home directory if you're in it (otherwise it'll save to whatever directory you're in).

This should back up all of your apps and their data (unless the app is specifically marked to be unbackupable). This won't backup your pictures and stuff though, you'll have to do that yourself via an sd card or a usb connection to a pc.
