Lmao..... The v20 is still on 7.0...... Never even got 7.1.1.. I highly doubt it ever will! Honestly I think it is at its EOL!Does anyone know if the LG V20 will have the Android update of Oero??

First of all this should be posted in the Q&A area as this is not any kind of development thread. Second LG hasn't announced if Oreo is coming to the V20 but I suspect it is within the next six months.
any idea why it was never updated to the latest version of nougat? is it because of the second screen?
It is possible that they decided to focus their efforts on 8 instead (I hope).

It'll be interesting to see LG's UX 6 on a device without 18:9 ratio, considering half the ux is based on this larger screen ratio.
it's not new to LG. They never bump the software version of their device, just like the other previous LG device but still gets update.

I think most of what the reporter was claiming is pretty much no-brainer. The V20 is near-certain to get Android 8 from LG. The G5 and V10 have got decent chances of getting Android 8, but they're questionable.
It is mere a speculation of a reporter & not the official confirmation from LG.....

for those expecting 7.1 i dont think we will get it. lg has skipped versions in the past and oreo is likely around December time
now that the V30 is out. I hope we still get a few more major updates before we are rendered obsolete.
I expect us to get Oreo and Whatever comes after it because this phone was just released in October 2016. Therefore it will be 2 years in October 2018.

The V10 shipped with Lollipop, then got Marshmallow, and after MUCH complaining got Nougat. I really don't think LG would be stupid enough to not offer Oreo, but then it is up to the carriers. However, when it comes to P(eanutbutter?) -- I think we are going to have to make a stink.

It will definitely get it. There is no question that LG will upgrade the V20 to Oreo.
