Android Pay asks for backup password every time instead of fingerprint

Hi,
Every time I go to use Android Pay, it makes me enter in my full backup password instead of asking for my fingerprint, which is really annoying. I'm running 6.0.1 stock. Is there any way to fix this?

I am having same issue after updated my AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 4 to MM 6.0.1....asking me Back Up password everytime.
