I have androidpay installed and working. But I can't stand having to put in a pass code to unlock my device, so I want to remove and go back to swipe to unlock, no security. So I uninstalled the app, unchecked device administrator prior to this but it does not go away! The apk is uninstalled but it keeps telling me to set as admin. When I go to lock screen settings, I do not have the option to set as swipe to unlock.
What else could I do short of a reset? Anyone have this issue?
If you have xposed installed just use lockscreen disabler.. Then you can use Andy pay without having to put in a pin/pswrd.

Working here on LS991 with root, Xposed, SELinux set to permissive, 540 dpi. Simply disabled su, set SELinux to enforcing, and set DPI back to 640. Once the card was added, re-enabled everything and reverted dpi.

Completely ridiculous this even needs to be done... if I was worried about the security implications I would have never rooted.

Clearing your credentials/certificates in security settings should fix that

I was able to add a card on my rooted VZW LG G4 by temporarily disabling root through SuperSU. I tried paying at CVS, but got the card cannot be used at this time, please try another card message. Is there a clear cut answer as to why we get that message? Does it mean my bank doesn't support AP yet, or is it because I'm rooted?

Root. Try this next time you go to pay, use hide my root before making a purchase and see if works. I used to have soft card that is basically the same thing as AP and I had to hide the su binary before using the service..

I tried Hide My Root, but when I click on hide SU binary, it won't let me click on "Grant" when SuperSU asks for permission.

I got Hide My Root to work, so I was in CVS today, and gave Android Pay a shot. It definitely worked, but I got a message on the terminal saying electronic payments weren't accepted at this time. The guy at the register said I was the first person he ever saw try it, and he was pretty sure they weren't set up yet to accept Android Pay.

I was successful this morning in using Android Pay at a local Panera with my rooted VS986 running Xposed after installing the RootCloak module and then adding both the Android Pay app (com.google.android.apps.walletnfcrel) and Android Play Services (com.google.android.gms) to the cloaked apps list. I am actually using a recent warranty replacement phone, and before rooting I added my bank card to Android Pay and used it successfully. Then I was able to root and add xposed with RootCloak, and Android Pay continues to work properly without any other steps.

I had it working but not sure which one broke it, going to google play service 9.3.01 and/or going to android pay 1.1.106511521. Anyone else had it working and then have it break after update? And if so any solution?

I'm with you, it no longer works for me either. I've tried everything to get it working again, clearing data, reinstalling GPS and Android Pay, re-cloaking and un-rooting with SuperUser, all for naught. Keep getting the "Google is unable to verify that your device or the software running on it is Android compatible" message.

Saw a solution elsewhere and tested it, it works! Basically, block Google Play Services with Rootcloak, was able to add card to Android Pay, haven't tested making payment yet.

Please post a link to the solution you found that worked. What version of Xposed and Rootcloak are you on? I have tried uninstalling Android Pay and adding both (com.google.android.apps.walletnfcrel) and Google Play Services (com.google.android.gms) to the cloaked apps list. After updating Android Pay I still get the dang error message "cannot verify".

Katmeat said he was able to _keep_ Android Pay working, but had installed and added his card before rooting and installing Xposed. I'm looking for someone that has 10B, Xposed v.75, and RootCloak 1.52

I saw somewhere that you probably can't hide root if you have an injected System.img -- I think I might have to restore my stock system.img unless anyone has any other ideas.

There is no link as this was months ago..... the current Android Pay and RootCloak2 still works fine.... Make sure you don't use RootCloak. I have 10B, Xposed v79 and RootCloak2 v1.52

RootCloak has been obselete:
http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.devadvance.rootcloak

RootCloak v1.52 is actually RootCloak2:
http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.devadvance.rootcloak2

The thing is for RootCloak, you have to block root to both AndroidPay and Google Play Services. as AndroidPay is highly tied to Google Play Services as you will see when you try to disable Google Play Services, it will not disable until you disable AndroidPay.

I meant RootCloak2 v1.52 -

Prior to seeing your reply I got fed up and just restored my stock system.img and I was able to add my cards. I'll re-root after I get my Chromecast code :). I honestly don't have a lot of root apps that I really need on a daily basis. I should be able to get my 10 taps in just a few days at the vending machines at work. Maybe when I re-root I'll use flashfire to put v79 of Xposed on instead of v75. Actually, I wonder if I can just reflash the rootedsystem.img and have everything working just as before. Running Flashfire was a bit nerve-racking.
