Hello Yossarrian. I fitted the battery and as much as it has improved battery life it isn't holding charge for long enough which questions the replacement battery, phone or ROM? The battery is dated manufactured this year 2019 to my surprise I have got a brand new replacement battery and bar the phones serial number sticker it looks original. I'm not sure what to do  When l purchased the phone the battery held charge for a long period of time. This replacement is dropping 1 percent every couple of minutes in use but remains fine in sleep mode. It seems a little weak. I have charged it a few times now too so it should have woken up. Thx.
Hi Gourcuff14,

Well I did change the battery yesterday :). First charging looks good (check the screenshot from AccuBattery). But I have not tested the SOT endurance.
Battery bought here: NOHON-BM35-BM36-BM22-BM45-BM46-Battery-For-Xiaomi-Mi-5-5S-4C

I have tested over night which drained 0.3% per hour which is fully dozed performance. I can suggest to you this tool, which is absolutely perfect for any investigation what could cause the unreleased wakelocks preventing the device from sleep: Battery Historian https://bathist.ef.lc/ where you can upload .zip bugreport file ...simply connect to device with ADB and run adb bugreport > filename.txt
More info here: Battery Historian/

If you have issues with Screen On Time..it really depends on brightness and application which you are running. Still you can use some CPU kernel optimizer such as LKT which could help manage the CPU usage.

Hello Yossarrian

The battery replacement I purchased was this one https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Xia...lgo_pvid=4777a7bf-4d0b-479c-8982-1b44e656e3eb I have brought generic ones before for example a Samsung one and they have been great, infact it turned out to be bigger than the original capacity but because the original was available here I had to try it before considering the generic one or at least it looks original. I'm not sure what is going on tbh, it may be the phone. I tried loading stock firmware back on via MiFlash to test the battery and it was still dropping. If I remember correctly at purchase the phone lasted at the very least a day even with heavy use but this is running dry pretty quick within the day. I have a bug report in .zip format. What would you like from it? Graph is attached. Thx.

Well from the screen provided I can only see that you have been using phone quite heavily (assuming video + audio or gaming which means highest CPU states and overheating the battery) with almost 4 hrs of screen on time which under these conditions is pretty normal for Mi4c I suppose. Between 7AM - 8:30 AM it drained almost nothing (Screen Off). This phone can have 0.3%/hr in doze pretty easily so for regular usage you can get 2 days battery life without problem. For continuous gaming/youtubing the battery gets hot easily and if you not lower down your CPU states the baterry can get only 3-4 hrs of sot.

The Battery Historian is more for screen off wakelocks analysis if you need to check whether your phone is dozed or not and what apps or processes are draining your battery when the phone should be sleeping.

Hello Yossarrian

That initial test was indeed heavy video playback via youtube purely because the phone was performing a lot better at purchase. I think the phone was malfunctioning, or there's an android issue here. Firstly the Mi4c was obviously in a bad state with the dead battery whether that altered setting to try perform at the very least I don't know but it has carried on malfunctioning ever since until I done the bug report. I was trying to get notifications to appear, example complete downloads were not appearing in notification until a system reboot was performed then on boot it would show previous downloads. Also accents were not appearing correctly, changing colour would also change the colour of the settings icon in menu but that wasn't happening. If I remember correctly in a certain other ROM, Resurrection I think there was a reboot system UI option and that would get rid of the accent issue if there was that issue. The notification issue I don't know why that was happening.

Since doing that bug report the phone has been functioning different. The battery has lasted a lot longer.

I tried the accent colour change on a Redmi 6 Pro too and it done the same thing in menu, the colour didn't' change. Both Mi4c and Redmi 6 Pro running crDroid.

So two things here then. Is crDroid, or any ROM for that matter not updating correctly. And is there, or is the prime issue an Android malfunctioning issue. I tried apps like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.inpocketsoftware.andTest&hl=en_GB and https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.antutu.ABenchMark&hl=en_GB

What did the bug report, or generation of report do to wake the system? There's got to be a glitch somewhere if it's had this impact. I didn't do anything else to the phone around the time of bug report, these results have come as a result of the generation of bug report via developer options.

Is there a tool that can test functionality, I mean deep system search as this bug report did? Does something need doing at Android to wake any malfunctions? The phone has been sitting in this condition until I done something so it looks dead and that's bad. Android should at least scan, refresh or kick any issues default if any. As for reports, logs should be sufficient. I don't think leaving a system in 'x' state is right for you to look yourself however open source it is, the system should at least attempt to rid any issues.

Heres a new Historian Graph and battery usage screenshot from settings. It certainly looks different, both screenshots from the above and previous post prior to bug report generation the battery looks to sleep too? Does this need reporting to Android? A possible deep refresh feature needs adding. I don't think it's ROM related and looks to be Android itself. The system stagnates somewhere. Battery and behaviour has changed since the bug report via developer options was generated (full but I also tried interactive report). The phone was on during the periods where gap is seen in setting shot and historian shot below but in the previous shots the gap wasn't seen even with the screen off?

Thanks x

Edit: sorry I forgot to show full device usage in setting battery usage.

Sorry mate...no idea why there is this GAP in the log even if the phone was turned ON. Maybe try a different ROM or kernel? I'm using CrDroid Pie crDroidAndroid-9.0-20190108-libra-v5.0.zip from Vovan77 for about two months and I have no issues at all.

Hello Yossarrian

I am on that ROM version too. I don't know what is going on to be honest  The phone has definitely been malfunctioning. Is there a Xiaomi test tool or is the bug report generator close as it gets to a deep rooted check?

Thx for your help x

Well, If I were you I'd flash a different ROM and kernel to verify whether the issue is software or hardware related. If the problem persists even on official stable ROM it might be hardware related issue. You can use logcat app for system logging and then you can check what was happening on the system in the precise moment when you have issues.

Hello Yossarrian

I did revert back to stock firmware to test and the problem persisted although battery life did slightly improve. Behaviour has changed since I took a bug report. I don't know if the device was glitched somewhere with the dead battery within it but the phone has changed behaviour since generating a full bug report through developer options. I didn't logcat before or after the bug report I only have those two reports. I haven't clean installed anything since generating the bug report just monitoring the battery it's on its 2nd full charge since the behavioural change. Can logcat see system idle issues it isn't app related?

A system UI reboot, or deep bug report check has had effect here. I think something's screwed within the hardware software, or glitched. Is there anyway to clear the phone totally bar twrp format? I mean where total wipe isn't advised because the phone still needs to boot. Can boot be reflashed?

Thank you x

With latest crdroid 5.0 I'm having problems when receiving calls. I can't answer the call because no action is showed, no full screen swipe to answer nor notification.
Only after caller stop the call a notification appears.

I'm using two SIMS and can't disable one of them.
I'll try removing one from the phone later today.

Edit:
Solved installing other phone app. It seems that Google phone app doesn't want to work.

will this pixel experience rom by Kenga ever have the official pixel backgrounds?

And, I just found out that the notifications that should appear on phone stand by black screen, are too light to be seen

Anyway, @kenga , you have done a nice work an I'm wondering why you don't join the pixel experience web page with your porting.
Maybe you could contact @jhenrique09 to see what to do and start collaborating.

yes, pixel experience is running on Xiaomi MI 4c. It has very smooth animations, fast phone opening and closing, doesn't heat at all, battery power is ok and applications run a lot better. Before I had on lineage stable for MI 4c, but if I wanted to share a picture from a web page to instagram, I had to close all the apps in memory or the sharing bottom panel would not show up. Now, with pixel experience, this is not a problem anymore. The ROM is not official, but comparing it with an official ROM running on a Xiaomi RedMi 4x, The only two differences that I see is that the Theme App doesn't have pixel backgrounds loaded and that on black stand by screen, notifications show in with a low light. If you have the idea to load the ROM, i would remember you to install xiaomi's firmware update before the ROM, or it wouldn't load at all. These are the files I used:

twrp-3.1.1-0-libra.img
libra_miui_fw_patch_MI4c_V9.5.1.0.NXKCNFA.zip (firmware patch)
PixelExperience_libra-9.0-20190324-0524-UNOFFICIAL.zip

Thats it. No need for GApps.

as I said, there's absolutely no heating, so the battery lasts more. I find only a little warming when i see youtube videos for more than 30 minutes, but its nothing compared with the heating I had using MIUI 9/10 (from xiaomi.eu) and LineageOs 14.1.
The only annoying thing is that you have to wait a couple of seconds before wifi and SIM get connected, but it may be only a false screen signal, because as soon as I open an App, everything returns to normal with both signal icons shown on the top right near the time.
