But that's on samsung where they just randomly update devices. Huawei doesn't do it that way. At least that's what's been happening with previous huawei devices

Yes back in August.

Huawei released a recent update to the updater because a lot of owners were not receiving updates.

I do not know if I already received it.

I just recieved a post in my google feed, that Huawei started the rollout for Pie for P20 and P20 pro.
But again, the "lite" is still not mentioned

I hope that at least some devs will port a Pie if we dont get it officially

You can't really see it if it's not on the System-->Info Tab, you can also check release notes under System-->System Update-->Click on Current Version and it should appear all changes, if it's not there then you can't really know by now :/

Y6 prime 2018 has Qualcomm 4 core processor and it runs 8.0 version. P20 lite has better characteristics and I would never believe that they won't make 9.0 work on it. If they don't give us 9.0 they should have given us 8.1 at least. As for me I wait 9.0 only because of gestures the iPhone X style.

Good news! According to some sources, the Honor 8X, a mid ranger as well like ours just with a little better CPU and GPU will have EMUI 9 beta this week or in December check sources (on china only I think). But this is really good news to us because they might be thinking on another mid-range phones like our P20 Lite as well

Im not allowed to send pictures but the customer service live chat told me that it will be 100% updated in UK and i guess many other countries

its more than month ago was clear, that we will get android pie, other question are, what date, thats not clear right now!!

I'm so happy to announce that we will finally be getting EMUI 9 Beta reallyyyyyy close!

According to official sources on what it's called the "Chinese Twitter" Weibo website:

We will get EMUI 9 Beta really soon after the Nova 3i and Nova 3 have it, those are pretty much our same model (Nova 3e/Huawei P20 Lite) but with a little higher specs, design is the same though of the Nova 3i.

Also on this russian news website you can see they say "It was also announced that after these models, Huawei P9 Plus and Huawei nova 3e will be connected to testing." POGGERS

The stable version of EMUI 9 is not confirmed yet, we are not sure. But with official news on my first post you can see they told us in January we will have a beta of EMUI 9, that is confirmed
