On Q beta 5 via the beta program.

I had dark mode already enabled when I updated, but I do not seem to have the dark boot animation or the dark apps everywhere (or, linked in)

I disabled, rebooted, then reenabled and rerebooted.

What am I missing?

Since the OTA and the full system image is available, you can flash yourself if need be. But of course you'll have to take your own precautions, as Google says there is an update issue of some kind that led to the halting of the OTA rollout.

For full system images for Pixel devices, go here: https://developer.android.com/preview/download

For OTA images for Pixel devices, go here: https://developer.android.com/preview/download-ota

Again, if you're not very conversant with getting down and dirty when flashing these things including being able to revert in case something breaks, wait for the OTA to start up again.

Time to go see if root is working, and if so, manually update myself.

The beta 5 put my Pixel 2 XL into a boot loop. The download and install were fine. When I restarted to update, I was stuck on the blinding white G screen. After a minute or so, the stock recovery popped up to say that I should factory reset since there was no image to load (or something like that). I did the factory reset from the stock recovery and the beta 5 was applied and ready to go. It was annoying that I had to do the factory reset and re-setup all my apps, but I did gain some serious free storage after the reset. Other than that I have had no issues. Beta 5 works very smoothly. I hope this helps anyone that gets into the boot loop.

I was having an issue earlier today - I'd connect my LG Tone Platinum, and it would disconnect a few seconds later - happened every time, Even after a reboot.

Going to try removing and re-pairing and see if it makes a difference.
