Android Q Beta bugs and experiences

Search This thread
Now that funkyhuawei has released the beta leak today i guess it is ok to discuss it here

My findings are getting updated in the FP.

My bugs:
Camera integration in third party apps do not work (like whatsapp or telegram)
Sometimes green lines in video when playing Netflix
Dark mode sometimes is messed up
Video sometimes does not show or has green lines

Findings:
Do a factory reset and after that install Q otherwise it will not work
Info still showing android 9 and emui 9.1
ADB shell is showing android Q
Little font changes, most of the time the letters are bigger
Not Certified
Juli security patch
Camera version 10.0.0.200

Like splitscreen ? That works.

No... This is oppo reno on android q: https://youtu.be/oneWq5bTN0E
I was hoping that huawei would also do about the same.

And are annoyances of the older versions fixed?
1. No "ok google".
2. No google assistant on lock screen.
3. Custom launcher breaks animations of closing apps and multi tasking.
4. Notifications on lock screen disappear once unlocked.

1 . OK google works
2. Not yet
3. not tested yet (will do in a few hours)
4. Notifications stay

The new navigation works like the oppo has done but on a slightly different way.
No icon below is the main thing that is different

Any chance to extract and send the camera apk?

That would be a fundamental change to huawei i think.
So if you get a notification on the lock screen, you proceed to unlock, immediately lock, turn on screen, the notification is still there? (So not doing anything with the notification itself)

Nope then it is gone on lockscreen

Can you tell me how do you do to flash again if recovery mode dont work ??

Tks for youre help
After the first Android Q flash my phone was halted at the Huawei logo.
I left it for at least 15 minutes but nothing was happening.
So i did a factory reset.
Follow this procedure for that https://www.hardreset.info/devices/huawei/huawei-p10/recovery-mode/

After that i switched off the phone, but it automatically powers back on.
So the next part is a bit tricky and may fail.
When you hold the power and the phone is off, release powerbutton and hold the volumedown while connecting the usb cable.
You then should enter flash recovery and can flash with Hisuite again

Do not install any app in my backup do not work

You mean that hisuite does not recognize Android Q yet ?
    Yep noticed that too.

Did you expect that everything was working ? It is called beta, if it is not for you then do not touch it.

No, backup from Google account in playstore fail to install apps

That's because of your device is not certified by google. Follow below mentioned link for Google certification. I was in the same problem when flashed uncertified build. I have solved by that way.
