Thanks, it just said that you should use a matched radio and I'm not sure what that meant.

As far a problems before changing the radio, the radio is for 3g-4g connection, cell service or both?
Hi,

You are right about the matched radio, but most devs match the ROMS to the latest radios.

Hi,

If you are planning to install ARHD 4.1.3,this is what mike has to say:

With 4.1.x ROMs I strongly recommend flashing 10.58.9035.00U_10.15.9035.02_2 radio
--- Using a "non matched" radio could have a negative effect on performance, battery life & signal strength ---
--- You don't have to flash RIL files for recommended radio. It's already in the ROM ---
--- You would need S-OFF in order to do it properly ---

The link for the new radio is under the download link for the 4.1.3 ROM,in the THIRD post of the ARHD THREAD

I did flashed the arhd 4.1.3 Rom and the matching radio but it seems my phone runs slower than it was when I'm still on factory stock Rom. Any chance u might know what's causing my phone to run slow. I flashed arhd because they said it will make the phone run smoother and faster but its the other way around.

Hi,

For sure the radio update is NOT causing your phone to be slow.
4.1.3 is still only a test ROM,therefore not yet 100% optimized.
May I suggest you try 3.6.2
For me its running sweet.
You may also wish to wait a little while, because mike is in the process of cooking new ROMS.
4.1.4 changelog has just been posted.
No doubt, there will be an update for the 3 series as well.
Both are using new kernels, and this always improves speed.

Hi,

I'm not sure where to find a stock ,out of the box tmob rom.
My advice would still be to flash 3.6.2. HERE
It will take 15 minutes, and you will see a difference.

One more thing I noticed, after I flashed the 4.1.3 Rom I don't see my phone connecting to 4g just E and sometimes H icon appears on top. Dors this mean I'm no longer able to get the 4g speed connection?

:)
I'll try your advice hope this will ease my burden lol. Thanks again for the support.

I have literally never flashed a different radio with any of these ROM's. Never had any issues whatsoever.

Hi, this was also my question which I asked in my, 7days earlier..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1298462
Hi all! Firstly I'm new here. Long time unregistered lurker, newly registered some days ago when I bought my Sensation.

I've read about phone bring with bad radio flashes and that is what is keeping me from installing ARHD..so..

Q1: My Sensation is on contract with one of Taiwanese telco FarEasTone and its baseband version is 10.56.9035.00U_10.14.9035.01_M. Is this version safe to flash if i install ARHD?

Q2: I've already entered the Premium HTC Locations code from the sheet of paper that came packaged with the Sensation. When I do a data wipe, will I lose my lifetime premium Locations? I believe I cannot re-enter the code.
Since this thread has been getting more responses than mine, maybe we can continue here?

Q2 has been answered already so we'll leave that out.
My phone model is Z710e..already flashed ARHD 3.6.3..now its just the fear of flashing the recommended radio..

Hi,

Just underneath where you downloaded 3.6.3,is the radio download.
If you did revolutionary s-off,then you have all the files necessary for radio flash.
Download the radio zip,and extract it to your desktop.
READ THE READ ME!!!
Follow the instructions CAREFULLY AND EXACTLY,and everything should be fine.

Hi,

As far as I know, radios work worldwide.
Essentially, you have the same phone/hardware as me in Europe.
If you want more information, and maybe a different perspective, read THIS THREAD

I must caution you that flashing a radio does carry some risk.
But if you follow the READ ME and instructions to the letter, you should be alright.

Alright thanks so much! :D

Yeah I understand flashing a radio can be risky. I have CWM installed from following the noobproof guide in the developers section, can cwm make a backup of my original radio? do I need some special softwares to do it?

sorry for the nub questions.

Hi,

No,CWM does not backup/restore radio.
There is nothing that will.
This is where there is an element of risk.
If it goes wrong,it can brick your phone.
So,I say again:READ THE "READ ME" CAREFULLY!!!
