Android to Windows Hack or Dual boot Option?

I'm not sure about android-specific bootloader, but if it's still a x86/x64 PC underneath, some full-functionality bootloaders (GRUB etc) support USB.

But I have no idea how to install a custom bootloader on it. This is like a infinite loop

Seems to be like the best way would be to boot from the stock Yogabook Android ROM in the boot menu from a Windows device. As far as I know, some people already have the zip file from Lenovo - just needs to be made bootable, I figured. From there you can just flash the image to an SD card and boot right from it.
Tbh I haven't messed around with dualbooting since Win 7 was the latest. Am I missing something? Thought it was fairly straightforward.

just guessing, if we would have dual boot working - how much space would then be left on the SSD? Is it worth doing with it?

I dont know if it is helpful, but today I made a backup from my rooted Android book with TWRP. And in TWRP I got the option to backup Bootloader and Bootloader 2. Maybe it means that both bootloader are there but only one is activated and its possible to change something in the backup and after that play back the data

Hi!
After googling a lot, the results come here to this post.

I,ve got recently my Yoga Book Android version with the intention of installing a Windows image.
I've already downloaded the 16 windows drivers from Lenovo's site, and set 3 USB drives: 1) with a virtual W10 recovery disk (all system files), 2) with a Yoga Book W10 recovery disk (without system files) made from a store, 3) with a W10 .iso image

Just need to install a new bootloader that loads any of these USB drives. How to overdrive that Android bootloader? Is there any Android bootloader/recovery that can install other OS?

For the Windows 10 drivers, you can download them via Lenovo's website: http://pcsupport.lenovo.com/au/en/products/tablets/yoga-series/yoga-book/za0v/downloads

For a Windows 10 image... that's illegal. You're going to have to buy it (or... use Google...?) and then you have to install all of the drivers (if Windows doesn't do that automatically... I don't know if it will or not).
Not necessarily.

When Microsoft was doing the free upgrade thing, you could download the "media creation tool" from http://www.thewindowsclub.com/windows-10-media-creation-tool-create-installation-media-upgrade and make a bootable Windows 10 USB. I did it like.... 4 weeks ago? And it's still available and works fine.

Lenovo's drivers don't get installed automatically so you need to grab all those and do all that manually as well.

That is very true, I totally forgot Windows did that. Also, thanks for clearing that up! =D

Dear users of Yoga Book on Android!
Maybe someone will share a backup copy of their Android (TWRP).
Before starting, please make a reset to the factory settings.
Thank you.

Hello yoga book users,

I have a yoga tab 3 pro and from what i can gather these are two very similar beasts. The yoga tab 3 pro only comes in android flavour but i have managed to get into the bios. From here i have changed some settings and am able to boot from usb.

Linux boots but has issues with sound, touchscreen and hardware acceleration. Android x86 gives same results as linux. Windows10 usb to go and win10PE give bluescreen error very early in the boot process....acpi bios error.

Looking at pics of the win10 yoga books bios online i can see they look very different from my bios. However i did see a pic on xda here of someone who had messed up their yoga book android version and his bios looked the same as mine.....

https://forum.xda-developers.com/yoga-book/help/bricked-yoga-book-yb1-x90l-t3537048 pic in post #7.

So to surmise. I think the windows and android versions are running a different bios and possibly the androids bios is crippled and will never allow booting windows, i have tried changing many settings in bios but windows always bums out almost immediately.
