Hi,

I didn't had time to take a deep look to the app. Seems interesting app.

As far as I can see the app needs root for most of it's functions to work plus it's closed source. I would prefer to include apps that most of their functions work without the need of root and also be open source especially when it comes to "root", for security reasons since it has access to root privileges.

Also as a suggestion for your OP, it would be nice if you separated the Root with Non Root features, because I was kinda lost and confused when looking the features all together. So the user to find fast what non root features will get.

I've added the app in Utilities & System > Miscellaneous.

Thanks.

The Non Root and Root features are separated now :)

Please take a look and tell me what you think:

Thank you very much, impressive work!
By the way, not sure if it is a fake alarm or not, but there seems to be something wrong with "DocScanner [Open Source][Free]: Document Scanner and PDF Creator app." from the Productivity ๐Ÿงฉ section under OCR (Document Scanners) ๐Ÿ“œ.

When clicking the link to open the github page, Bitdefender says there is some exploit in the files:

Hey,

I am pretty sure it's fault possitive with ur antivirus. How the GitHub can be infected? What kind of exploit did it saying? ๐Ÿค” Also the app seems pretty clean.
If you can use virustotal site and check.
I personally don't have any warn or something. If anyone else report the same I will take a deeper look.

If you are using Windows and u are casual user, use the default Windows Defender and also install Malwarebytes to scan things. I generally don't recommend third party antivirus unless you really don't know what u clicking or do a very "risky" surf in the internet ๐Ÿ˜†
Sorry that wasn't ur question but I just suggested it ๐Ÿ˜›

Hey man!

Oh yes, Windows casual user here. So Bitdefender says it is a "Exploit.CVE-2016-3714.Gen.3", listed on NVD as: https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2016-3714

Thanks again for your attention and have a great day ahead!

Hhmm as I said it seems false positive.

I checked with virus total https://www.virustotal.com/gui/url/...416c23e8e893f0fac56e4b9247e0c036ae2/detection and it's clean. Even ur antivirus marked it as clean ๐Ÿ˜

If you find something else let me know ๐Ÿ˜‹
Thanks a lot.

So it's time to move on from Vanced to ReVanced!

I made this thread with Guides & Links, which you can follow to install ReVanced.
I personally use the Extended version from inotia00 as I find it more polished, bug free and complete. Also please, read the notes.

Hi everyone, I'm JulianSantos. I have a question that I hope someone can help me with. I installed mod apk on my android 12 but don't know why it's not working. Is it because of my phone or the mod. Can anyone give me some advice because I don't know much about technology. Thank You!

Can you be more specific? Your post it's very general.
Which modded app you tried to install and not working? Which device/ROM you have?
What kind of error you getting?
Generally speaking stay away of modded apps if you don't know how they work or are shady.

Thanks for sharing! Would request you to add the LMT launcher app to the list, maybe in productivity or personalization(launchers) section. No matter what android version and phone I have used in the past 10 years, I have eventually installed this app. Might be useful for someone who has never heard of the pie launcher options in the LMT launcher app made by noname81.

Hello,
I will take a look tomorrow and I will add it.
Thanks for your suggestion.

EDIT: Added at Utilities & System ๐Ÿงฐ > Miscellaneous ๐Ÿช› since I think it's a tool rather a launcher.

    Hi,

    • ZArchiever: Already added.
    • 1DM Browser I've already added it as Download Manager, I don't think it's worth as Browser since are much better alternatives.
    • Fulguris Browser: I don't think it should be included in browser since there are much better alternatives.
    • Flym: is archived and outdated.
    • eBooks: MiXplorer is mainly File Manager and can be used by multiple purposes. I think it's place it's better to stay at File Managers.
    • Karma Firewall: Added, thanks!
    • Unit Converter Pro (by Elkens Software): Seems outdated.
    • AIMP, VLC: Already included in Music Players ๐ŸŽต
    • Music Colet: Already included in Music Players ๐ŸŽต as it's main purpose is this.
    • KMPLayer: contains ads / This app may share these data types with third parties
    • Device or other IDs / This app may collect these data types Device or other IDs / I think there already much better alternatives.
    • Photo Editor(by dev.macgyver): Contains ads / This app may share these data types with third parties Location, App activity and 2 others / This app may collect these data types Location, App activity and 2 others.
    • PDF Viewer Lite and Xodo: Don't think worth it, there are already better and open source alternatives.
    • Microsoft Lens: Added, Thanks!
    • OnePlus Calculator: Added Thanks!
    • I don't feel I should add all these other calculators.
    • I will take a look for Misc apps and Code Editors later.
Keep in mind I don't want to bloat much the lists if there are already better apps included and doesn't worth mentions some apps. Also prefer more Open Source and Foss Apps but legit Paid or Closed Source apps will be consider.

    Thanks.

Inure App Manager also has a built-in terminal, it should also be listed under Terminal Emulator category as well, I guess

That import tool is meant to import your bookmarks into your "read later" list on Pocket, while the extension lets you save webpages to that while you're browsing.

Importing and exporting bookmarks is sadly not something that can be done on most Android browsers, although it's doable on desktop browsers by default.

Also while their extensions and clients seem to be open source, I don't see anything that would be a significant part of their backend on GitHub.
Hi I removed completely pocket from the Addon list.
I've added ZArchiver to the list. Thanks.

    Android Ultimate Guides! ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿซ

    Privacy and Security ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ

So here you can find some useful tips which I can personally can give you. You can find a more advanced guides if you look in the internet but I just want to keep it simple for casual and normal users.
    Lets get started:

    • ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธPrefer Android ROMs & Kernels with SELinux Enforcing. You can find informations here.
    • ๐Ÿ•ตIf you want to avoid Google and Play Store (De-Google), you can choose a ROM without GApps preinstalled like LineageOS and use Droid-ify client which is an installable catalogue of FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) applications for the Android platform. The client makes it easy to browse, install, and keep track of updates on your device. Note that not all apps from Play Store will be available in Droid-ify or F-Droid. Only Open Source projects. You can find alternatives though. Alternative you can use LineageOS for microG or any ROM which support signature spoofing and can support microG and use Aurora Store which can have access to Play Store apps.
    • ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธCheck the Privacy and Security section in my Collection to find useful apps to use.
    • ๐Ÿ“–Always prefer Open Source or well popular Apps, Programs & Stuff. Open Source doesn't mean it's 100% safe but it's unlikely to have something suspicious, since you and other users can check the code in GitHub or in any other code hosting platform the "stuff" is hosted.
    • โ„ข๏ธAlways download and install Apps, Programs & Stuff from official sources and do not use redirection links from different sites. Google is your friend to find the official source of the stuff you want.
    • ๐ŸšซAvoid using Cracked Apps, Programs & Stuff, especially your Windows OS should be clean. There are a lot of websites you can get cheap keys, around ~10$, for Official Windows & Office, no need to mess with crack generators and all these. Keep in mind the most popular programs you may want to get cracked, are more highly possible to contain virus/malware/spyware.
    • ๐Ÿ”Always check the permissions an app requires, before download and install it to your device. If an app ask for permissions which has nothing to do with the app functionality then it's should be reconsider or ask the developer why these permissions needed. You can also check if the app includes trackers and ads with ฮตxodus.
    • ๐Ÿ”ฌUse the default Windows Security & Malwarebytes & Virus Total to scan your files whenever you want, prefered before open or install them.
    • โ›”Use the addon/extension uBlock Origin in your Browser, if it doesn't have it build-in like Brave. Always verify the source of addons/extensions in your browser. Avoid installing random and unpopular addons/extensions. Keep it minimal and clean, so browser can be fast and safe, no need bunch of extensions.
    • โŒOptional, you can also use the tool ShutUP10++ or Privacy.Sexy to disable major tracking features of Windows.
    • ๐ŸŒIf you are using VPN, always check the terms and rules of the provider. Avoid random VPN Services. Using a VPN will not keep your browsing habits anonymous, nor will it add additional security to non-secure (HTTP) traffic.
    • ๐Ÿ”Recommended is to encrypt your data/files always before uploading them to your cloud with tools like Cryptomator.
    • ๐Ÿ”‘Always use unique and strong passwords for each of your accounts and DO-NOT-SHARE them. Use open source Password Managers like KeePass or KeePassXC or Bitwarden for Desktop and KeePassDX or Bitwarden for Android to manage your passwords and have them with you safe, encrypted and secure.
    • ๐Ÿ•“enable 2 Step Authentication wherever is available for your accounts. You can use apps like KeePassXC for Dekstop which also support TOTP and Aegis Authenticator in Android.
    • ๐Ÿ“ฌDo not open or click on links attached in unknown emails or SMS you may get. Always check the address of the email or the number of SMS and verify it's legit from the official source. Especially fake emails from "Banks" which redirect you to fake enviorment to put your password -Keep in mind no Bank will ever ask you anything like that-.
    • ๐Ÿ“จCreate and use "burned" email for accounts/sites you have concerns but you definitely want to try them. Do not use your personal or business email. You can also create and use email aliases of your email with services like SimpleLogin which is open source.
    • โš ๏ธCheck if your email or your phone number have been breached with services like Have I Been Pwned or Firefox Monitor.
