After installing custom recovery, what happens if AVB is not disabled? Does it have to be disabled even if Magisk is installed? Or is it the default in Magisk?

To install a Custom Recovery a phone's bootloader must get unlocked before, what in turn requires to disable AVB - read: flash vbmeta-img - too, otherwise you can't boot OS.

I have previously run it without disabling it on a Xiaomi phone without any issues, What do you say about this?
