It gets longer based on how much data there is on your phone. When I had a 16gb SD card and only 7-8gb of music and movies it was OK. Now I have a 32gb SD card and about 16-17gb of music and movies and it takes a lot longer.

I don't have an external sd and only have 8 gigs on the internal sd. If 45 seconds seems right for that then cool.
My primary concern was that the lag fix had messed something up.

Lagfix is simply a conversion from ReiserFS to the more efficient, and defacto Linux standard EXT4 filesystem.
You see, Samsung decided to use Reiser FileSystem (RFS) on their phones. RFS is basically FAT(like your thumb drive) filesystem with the addition of permissions and journaling. The journaling EXT4 filesystem which Andromeda3 uses is designed from the ground up to be compatible with Linux, and therefore compatible with Android and Andromeda3 as well as all of your apps. EXT4 is faster and more efficient. EXT4 is what all linux distributions come with today. EXT4 is actually specified for use with AOSP applications in 2.2.1 and higher.

If only they were using Reiserfs! There would be no problems. RFS on samsung stands for Robust FAT filesystem.

Can't connect to internet
Hello i just got my 1st smartphone 2 weeks ago (captivate) and i installed andromeda 3 without problems .. the thing is... i can't connect to internet with the browser or the market...It keeps telling me "Cannot connect to internet.Please check your connection settings and try again".. and the 3G with the arrows up and down are gone =/ , any help appreciate it , i don't want to uninstall this rom , i really like it.
BTW i can connect with WI-FI .

Are you able to make phone calls? Apparently, something is interfering with you connecting to the data network, but if there is no network icon then you shouldn't be able to make calls, either.
Sounds like you have data network disabled. Press and hold power then press data network.

sounds like you dont have APNs configured.
settings, wireless and network, mobile network, apns
make sure you have one there. if you dont, hit the menu button and select reset to default. see if something comes up then

Why is there a flash option when there is no flash?
And when I record video, sometimes the video 'lags' or 'skips' a little.. any idea what can cause this? (sometimes when I game, its gets little laggy too, like fps drop for a moment or two, could be related to some lag my phone is experiencing?)

The flash button is likely a button that didn't get taken out. Don't know about the skips. Could be a number of things.
First off I absolutely love Andromeda3! But it seems when I get a picture message it doesnt show. Just shows it as downloading, I've done a search and have not come across anything related. I feel it is something small and right in front of my eyes. ursa minor 2.6.32.9 kernel. Any ideas?
Edit:I figured it, Seems having wifi on confuses it.
