I just want this as input in Swype. Is it something which can be easily added?

Maybe you could try to uninstall the swype version that came with Andromeda3 and sign up for the free Swype Beta and try. There should be some threads here on XDA how to exactly accomplish that.

Thanks. But Swype is baked into the ROM. How do I uninistall it?

Yes, thanks simple uninstall through Titanium did not work. Had to go through second link to make it work. What a nightmare if you want to regularily update your ROM.

Got a minor issue with the music player.

The default music player seems to cease playing at times. Often while in the middle of playing tracks.

Go to the market and type apk installer in the search box. Or if you have winrar, you can open up Andromeda zip and add this music player into the zip after you delete the old (original) player. When you unzip the file, open system folder then open app folder. You can drag and drop or right click and add file. Then close and add back to root of your cell and flash with CWM. You can do this with many apps that you would like installed with the rom. Also you can change the battery icons and other stuff as well. With winrar you can change the apk files and it will ask if you want to update file (or re-sign the apk) so you can flash with no problem.

Hey Adam, I have a question about call recording. I want to port call recording from another rom over to Andromeda 3, but I'm a lost as to what is needed or what files I need to mod. I have a 2.2 froyo donor rom JS8 build. I have dug into it and extracted the dialer and phone apk's. I dont know if I need any xml or jar files to go with it. The record on the fly option I really liked and want to retain this. There is a call recording app someone made (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=967297) but it records all incoming and outgoing calls and after the call the option to delete pops up. I would like to have control of which calls I record so this is why I want to add this feature from the donor rom to Andromeda.

JS8 is 2.2.1. that is why you are having problems

You have to be rooted to do this. The easiest way is by using Root Explorer. It's a paid app, but worth the few bucks. Copy the MusicPlayer.apk file to a folder on your phone (I have one named My Stuff just for things like this). Go into system/app folder, click on Mount R/W and rename Music.apk to Music.bak (long press on it and select rename). Then copy or move the new apk over to the system/app folder. Reboot and enjoy.

Pirateghost, thanks for the reply. If my donor rom being a 2.2.1 is a problem then I will look for a 2.2 rom that has record option. My main question is what exactly would I need from the donor rom to make this port over to Adromeda?
