Camera setting to save photos in external SD

Hi. I just flashed Andromeda 3 (from Rogers stock Froyo firmware). There was a Camera setting on my old Rogers ROM that I can specify where (internal SD or external SD) to store the photos but I can't find the same setting on Andromeda 3. Is there some patch or fix that I can apply to get this back ?

Thanks.

No there's not. That's one of the "to do" things for the boyz. They are aware of it as Miami son has brought it up a few times, haha.

its to-done. If you want stock, use SGS Tools to go back. We provide a more secure version without manditory geotagging. Its not worth it to make the modifications when 2.3 is slated for the end of the month.

If you are having problems, try flashing back to stock, then flash Andromeda3. Then do a nandroid backup. Then restore missing apps with data with titanium backup. When you have a problem do a nandroid restore and selectively restore your apps with titanium backup. Andromeda3 has no such problems.

Not yet. samsung has said by the end of the month.
Ok, just to clarify things for my sleepy mind. Samsung is slated to release GB for the GA edition Captivate? If this is true, I bet ALL the devs will be all over this as it will work out a lot of their problems for them. :D

How do I use SGS Tools to go back ? I found some SGS Tools options to hack the Camera app. Don't see an option to get back the stock version.

Thanks.

That camera is "hacked" to make the power button function to snap a picture instead of out the phone in standby. That's what you want.
What I want is the choice to store photos in the external SD card. If I reflash back to the stock version and save the original camera apk, will it work after I restore the nandroid backup and replace the camera with the original version ?

Question about JK4 modem

I tried to search the XDA forum and can't find what I want. Probably I didn't use the right keyword to search.

I switch from Rogers stock firmware (I896UXJL1) to Andromeda 3. From the bits and pieces I gather I am now running JK4 modem. My question is JK4 better than the original JL1 ? If yes, then in what way is it better ? Sometimes I am confused by the naming. If L comes after K, should JL1 better than JK4 ?

Modems vary by area and what may better for one person on their may not be better for another person on their phone. Try them out and see which one gives you better reception and/or voice than another. There is an entire thread dedicated to modems.

ursaminor #1

I was looking at " about phone " today to see what kernel build I was running, it shows ursaminor # 1. Andromeda3 , problem free combination, really sweet. Is it worth flashing ursaminor # 2 ? or shall I go with the " if it's not broke don't fix it " ? or, does the team have something in the works and to just wait for that ?
