Not sure with A3, but do know that Netflix requires flash 10.1 and GB 2.3 to work correctly. With less you may be able to get it to load but will not be able to stream.

OK, I followed the directions in the video, but now the UrsaMinor kernel boots into a loop. I get the robotic voice that says 'this cooperation' then it flashes the AT&T World Phone screen. Back and forth it goes, not responding to the three button press.
I 'spose it is time to put it back to download mode and start over. I used ADB before, so I may have to try the two button + USB method, since I don't get a ROM to load right now.

That's what the troubleshooting section is for. You'll need to cross your fingers and run Odin3 one-click.
Odin One Click got me going again. My phone is one of those oddballs that will never show the DL screen when bricked, but I can DL to it all the same. The jig is the only way to reliably get mine into DL mode. Ursa Minor flashed and Andromeda working nicely. Somehow I missed that kernels take a while to load up.
Has anyone had issues with the bottom buttons reacting slowly or not at all with Andromeda? Now that I have it installed and working well, I notice that I have to touch the buttons repeatedly to get the phone to respond. I know the touches are being detected, because the backlights blink briefly, but nothing happens. The record so far is 15 touches to get the Search button to do anything. Each time the backlight blinks, but no action. Same for all the others. Would unistalling Voodoo Lagfix be something to try? I'm beginning to think I got me a lemon phone!

Never had a problem with the buttons, been running A3 for about 4 months solid.
I'm not clear on all the wording/etc., so I apologize in advance if this is a noob question. I've been running Andromeda3 for a few weeks now and I really like it. However, I have noticed that I no longer have any data access. Wifi works, but I can't get any data through my carrier. I no longer see the 3G or H in the top (title bar?).
I see various discussions about modems, but not sure what I should do. This was my first flash and data was working fine (stock ROM) before. I am on Rogers.

Go back and check out post 440 on this thread.
Go to settings > wireless and network > mobile networks (scroll down) > access point names > click menue then New APN > then fill in the info from post 440
My network mode is GSM/WCDMA (auto mode).
I'm on rogers too. I get the E for edge, but not the H.

This is the wiki for the rogers captivate. It says something about using an apn save and restore app because most custom roms come with the at&t apn for data. I would try looking for something like that on the market.
This thread might have an app that would save the apn for ya. If not, it still has some things you might like.

Thanks! I've been reading and reading and reading to get my own questions answered and finally saw a question I could answer. I just flashed this ROM on the weekend and ran into the same problem. Once I fixed that though I've been really impressed with it.
Don't be afraid to ask any question in Q&A, that's the place for it. And it's really nice to see a new guy answering questions. Kinda makes you feel like someone good just joined, they're gonna contribute and make this place better.

Hi! I flashed Andromeda on my AT&T Captivate a few days back and I don't have internet or data service, the E is on with the arrows but no internet. Wifi is good
I was reading this tread and notice the apn settings directed me to the post 440 but I'm not on Rogers I'm with Tmobile.
My question is, can I use the settings on post 440 for my at&t captivate on Tmobile or the settings are different and what are they or where can I find them toghether with the process on how to add it to my apn list.
I have the prepaid $10 x month.

The networking sub in the general section would have the T-Mobile apn.
I'm on Perception 9. I would like to try Andromeda3. Do I need to flash back to default ROM first before putting the new one in using 'I897UCJF6-final-OCD-REV0.rar'?
Hey guys, sorry to ask a question if the answer is out there, i searched and came to a thread with over 105 pages and after searching through 50 of them and finding nothing i've decided to break down and noob it out.
After having hundreds of problems of my own being a noob and trying to flash and rom and everything unless, I finally have Andromeda3 on my Captivate, now this is the 2nd time i've had andromeda3 on, I'm having a very serious "freezing" issue. At first i thought that it was because of the app "setcpu" that i had overclocked it too high and i heard that it could cause freezing, it got the the point where the phone would not stay on long enough for me to even clear the app data and delete the app . . .
Then later on i had used odin 1 click to restore my rogers captivate, which put at&t on my phone :S lol, and i got andromeda3 back on my phone, and it seemed at first that it was running perfectably, and after twinkering with a few settings and customizing it to my liking, It's begun to freeze again, I'm just wondering if i have done something that is a known issue that causes this.
Please help, i love andromeda3 so far and would not enjoy having to flash and go stock again.

That's not an issue with Andromeda3. Try a master clear.

Ok it got rid of all the root apps that comes with andromeda3 that seemed pretty useful, like sgs options and voodoo, those can be sideloaded i suppose if i can find somewheres to download them, that seemed to do the trick it's gone a bit without freezing, but that means that something that i installed in the first five minutes of running andromeda3 is what did it, the only thing i downloaded was gosms and facebook for android . . . other than that it was to be a certain combination of settings that i created
