How do you drag and drop the dock icons? Or do you have to flash one of the modded touchwiz docks from the sgstools app first?

No dice. I've tried it a few times randomly before with no results either. I just assumed it wasn't an out-of-the-box option. Is there an option to enable it somewhere?

Hm, yeah that works. I forgot about that option. I like the alphabetical list. Actually the dock icons weren't modifiable the first time I tried that, but it worked the second time. Thanks! I barely used my captivate stock and its my first smartphone, so sometimes the most basic features are unnatural to me, and I forget they even exist apparently.

Think I got ADB figured out, and I am fixing to flash the Ursa Minor #2. (Thanks PirateGhost)
One thing I use a lot due to my downtime in the field is Netflix. That app does not seem to be working in Andromeda. Is it a known issue that is being worked on? Seems like it times out trying to connect.

Netflix works just fine for me, since they upgraded the application to include more phones, including the Captivate. If that was my phone, I think I'd try deleting the application and re-downloading it from the market.

Car Dock Audio out with Andromeda 3

Hey there,

Has anyone had success getting audio out through a car dock using Andromeda and Ursa Minor?

Or, can anyone reccomend a good kernal that supports audio out through the dock that will work well with Andromeda?

Thanks,

B

On an unrooted stock Captivate can I just put the CWM update.zip on the root of the phone, install it and from there install a custom rom without problems?

yes. absolutely
Thanks for your prompt answer but why is the installation process described here so complicated when you just need to do what I described? The information is useful of course and I would probably refer to it later but I just want to be sure that the process I described would work. I'm on 2.2 stock by the way, I don't know if that changes anything...

2.1 works that way. 2.2 uses recovery 3e and requires a downgrade to 2.2 or Ursa minor kernel

Ok, it seems that I'm better off following the instructions on the video then.. I knew I would have to refer to this tutorial eventually :)

I just realized that I just have about 340MB of ram available to use instead of 512mb.. can somebody tell me if there's something I can do to tweak this? I read that the system uses the rest but isn't there something that can be done, at least from Andromeda3, to solve this situation?

Fair enough, but I didn't confer with anyone I just noticed it and made the comment, my intention wasn't to offend anyone. For whatever it's worth I didn't mean your voice sound retarded, but the tonality was a lot like Forrest's.

PS: I could've probably made the case that I'm a different rpg% but I'm not going to insult you guys :D good catch.

I know but what I meant was that it just says that I have 340MB available instead of 512MB. I read about how the system on some Galaxy S phones uses some of the ram for cache or something like that and wanted to know if it was possible to free that space and have it available as ram.
