Sorry I'm such a Noob to flashing Roms,

but is this a fix for the 3x4 samsung keyboard? And if so... do I just flash the zip file via Clockwork with the Reboot into Recovery method?

I've been running Andromeda 2.2 for a couple of days now, and the only two issues I've had with it are the market place theme disappearing, and the icons for the menu screen aren't orange. Not really a problem, but I would like them the way they're meant to be. Anyone know how to restore either of those things, or did I screw something up?

Other than that, this ROM is the cat's meow!

Yes. The keyboard now works properly. However, we don't have a Andromeda 2.2 update for the rom. Support was discontinued for the 2x series. Andromeda 1.2 is available. Don't confuse this with Android 2.2. Andromeda is Android 2.2

We're working on it. Ytt3r can tell you more, he's the Ursa Minor project leader. He is making great progress with it. There are a few developer tools missing right now, but we've released some beta kernels on our google code site. You can try Ursa Minor Beta 2 here: http://code.google.com/p/teamkomin/downloads/detail?name=UrsaMinorBeta2.zip&can=2&q=

We have dropped support on the 2x series of ROM for that reason. Updates pushed out by Samsung and Google override the changes we have made. We are working on maintaining Armani for now.

Damn. So you're still plugging away on the 1.x versions? And if so, are you planning on working it into the 2.x version, minus theme changes?

And is it possible to access those orange icons from the ROM zip and use root access to drag and drop them into the correct folder? I get the marketplace theme being updated, but what update changes the homescreen menu icons?

From what i've gathered, they are concentrating on making Andromeda better and have decided to leave the themeing to the themers. That gives them more time and energy to make the actual ROM better.

haven't used continuum. I need battery, its most important for me. I get about 2 days out of a full charge with andro. I use the voodoo sound daily, it kicks a55.

Anyone know how to turn off geotagging of pictures taken with the camera? I'm pretty sure I could do it with Eclair, but I can't find it on Andromeda. When I start the camera app I see the GPS signal going and I don't want my pics geotagged.

swype and andromeda 1.2

Hi I flashed 1.2 with cwm but swype keeps force closing. So went back to cog. I have searched and found others with the same problem but I did not see an answer to the problem. Any suggestions?

Thanks

[Q] No Power Menu

Hi All. Been lurking daily since September 2010 and have been able to have all my hundreds of questions answered by searching. Until now.

I originally flashed Andromeda 2.0 about a month ago and then applied updates to get it to 2.2. Experimented with Speedmod kernel and KP1 modem. The phone was fantastic for about 3 weeks.

I then decided to do a clean install (flash to stock, full wipe) of Andromeda 1.2 so that I could try out some of the themes available. From Andromeda 1.2, I flashed SpeedMod 13C, KP1, restored missing apps+data and then applied the Bloo Glowen theme.

Worked great for about a day but then I lost access to the power menu. I suspected the Bloo theme so I applied the revert. Still no power menu.

Strange because a long press on the power button triggers the haptic feedback but nothing on the GUI happens. Taking a picture with the power button works fine as does standby.

I figure I'm looking at a full reflash anyway but wanted to see if anyone might know a step I missed during my last attempt.

Thanks in advance.

Def not the theme. Only images were dropped in the framework, no other changes. It was probably a result of restoring data. User app data is generally fine, system app data is generally a no no.

Edit: You could install the no wipe 1.1 to 1.2 zip from the old andromeda thread and see If it fixes it before you do a full relash.

Yep. That did it. 'Thanks' button depressed. Very much appreciated.

Yeah, I figured it wasn't the theme was just doing rudimentary debugging (what did I change?). I --in no way-- meant to cast aspersions on Bloo. I'm reinstalling right now. Love the theme. Thanks for the help and the theme.

I'm running Andromeda 2.2 right now, and I was messing with the google voice stuff yesterday. Mostly the app works, but when I use the note to self feature, and then try to send the note it force closes the app. I haven't noticed anything else doing this yet in the app. Any ideas?

Hm. If you click the microphone, instead of using a voice command it should show a help button also. If you hit that it should show a list of commands you can use and if you scroll through there should be a note to self feature. Maybe thats why it doesn't work for me, it shouldn't be there. lol

EDIT: I done goofed, I think. I'm talking about google voice search. I didn't know Voice was a seperate app. Sorry.
