Hm. If you click the microphone, instead of using a voice command it should show a help button also. If you hit that it should show a list of commands you can use and if you scroll through there should be a note to self feature. Maybe thats why it doesn't work for me, it shouldn't be there. lol

EDIT: I done goofed, I think. I'm talking about google voice search. I didn't know Voice was a seperate app. Sorry.
I can't reproduce the problem. Try upgrading to 1.3Nightly. http://teamkomin.googlecode.com/files/AndromedaNightly.zip
Current SVN nightly build number:110307

OK, so you said earlier it was a feature of 2.2, right? So where is it?
The "feature" is automatic geotagging.

Of all the ROMs I have tried, I think this is probably my favorite.

One major problem for me though, Better Keyboard 8 will continously force close. Once I activate the keyboard, about every 5 seconds the phone will vibrate, and I get a FC message regardless of what screen I am in.

Better keyboard 7 works just fine.

Would love to have a work arround for this so I could use this ROM.

Thanks in advance
I, too, am experiencing the exact same problem. If there has been a response posted with the answer or solution, please forgive me.

This is a huge privacy issue for those of us who post photos we take with our phones to social networking sites like Facebook and others. Can't believe any phone manufacturer would leave us this vulnerable. Did the Andromeda devs take out the ability to turn it off?

no....we didnt take that out. that is something SAMSUNG added in and does NOT give us an option to disable it.

Wow! This has to be fixed by Samsung. I certainly don't want to be restricted from posting any pics I take with my phone because some ne'er-do-well could get private info from them. That simply renders an important phone feature practically useless for me.

Market Question

I LOVE this ROM; I was going to get rid of the Captivate until I finally flashed Andromeda. The only problem I am having is that the Marketplace won't let me download 2.2 compatible applications because it thinks I am still on stock. Is there a fix for this?

Well, Andromeda users have been running 2.2 for a long time now. We will be merging the audience driver code into our Ursa minor kernel:eek:. The rest is updates for AT&T's bloatware.

That is all 2.2 means for Andromeda. We have discussed, and there is interest in creating a Team Komin AT&T based ROM. That would be a step back to start with though.

is that done in the ursaminor beta2, or should we wait a bit more for that to come.

speaking of ursaminor beta2, what has been changed/added besides the voodoo drivers since the previous non-beta release?

Swype expiring is not rom dependent. It seems to be happening on other custom roms as well as Andromeda. To install a working version, see here.

In another thread, someone said:
I know that a new maintenance release was just sent out yesterday, so it has to do with that and not the rom itself. I was able to get swype back by removing swype from apps and lib directories, rebooting, and installing the beta. Sign up at http://beta.swype.com/ for a beta account. Of course, there may be versions floating around XDA that could be installed and would work...
If anyone knows of a version we can install without signing up for the swype beta, please let us know.
