Basically whenever someone send me an MMS (photo etc) It arrives as if it was a group message from the sender and myself ??

So wen I reply to it ... I send myself a txt also.

Happens in GoSms Pro and stock Client. I treid removing GoSMS to see if it was doing it and still same issue. ANYONE have any idea? its driving me nuts.

I tested with my wifes Nexus 4 , a friend with an iPhone 4 and another friend with an iPhone 5 .... every time it appears as

Sender, Myself

Are you using beanstowns rom? TW mms or AOSP?
JellyBeans 14 with Saberkernel 21.

I've tried multiple kernels (Saber/Perseus/Stock) same issue.

This is downright maddening and I recall this even with the Stock ROM but then I assumed my wife accidently copied sent it to herself and me also..... But in fact she did not. She only sent it to me and on receipt it arrives as a mms with a reply list of "Her, Me" ...

Huh - strange that it's happening w/ the stock rom. I am reasonably sure that he put in some of the group messaging stuff that folks have been working on, and I have heard that what you are describing can happen as a result, but that does not explain the behavior if you saw this on stock. In your stock messaging app - have you checked out the settings? I remember when I was messing around w/ group messaging on the stock TW mms there was a setting related to group messaging - might be worth a peek.

Yup. went through all MMS settings , everything related to Group MMS and even verified APN's etc.

So far as removed anything related to GoSMS (themes/plugins/etc) rebooted , cleared caches and only used the Stock Client and its still doing it... Makes me want to bang my head on the desk.

Well, if I were in your shoes I would go back to unaltered stock and test it there - if it still happens maybe ask vzw...? My gut says it's something in Beans, but you never know.

I would recommend trying a tmo ROM since you're in tmo now. As a matter of fact tweaked with the AOSP theme is nice with even more customization then beans. I seem to remember that Verizon messaging app handles mms differently, but could be wrong. Also, you may get wifi calling if you go the route I suggested.

I was saying use dwitherell "Tweaked" ROM and then there is a really nice AOSP theme for it. It's TW like beans, but with almost AOKP level of customization.

Thanks for the point in the right direction.

I may just pony up and buy the TMo version from the retail store today and do a side by side comparison and see whats up. Worst case I get hit with a 50$ restocking fee.

FYI - you can choose to skip the assert checks (those are what prevented you from flashing it) - though going to tmo would like be a better option lol
Totally agree . LOL I kept the sch-i605 after I switch from vzw to tmo but now am just becoming bothered by the issues with flashing, specific modems etc.

Looked into merging framework2 and wificalling.apk and just gave myself a headache after decompiling and trying to UML the flows.... Rather just buy the TMO variant now with native AWS/LTE / wifi calling and either keep the sch-i605 as a backup or toss it on swappa or ebay.

I figure a bunch of ppl may like a debadged vzw Note II with a new back cover, aluminum home button, flip case and Otterbox Defender especially one that will run on nearly ever network from vzw ->tmo -> att at HSPA+ speeds LOL

By the way that's what I did. But my 605 hit Craig list

Craigslist always seems to draw complete deviant's lacking only feathers sticking out their a$$ when I try and put things to sell there for me.... LMAO

I'm off to TMO and just buying the Note II from there retail w/warranty/insurance and I'll run some benchmarks with the sch-i605 on same roms and see what kind of results I get. Worst case I am unhappy and it cost me $50 for a restocking fee .
