Seems to be related to a third part screen lock program. It works fine when using the power switch. No

Correct. Our phone actually worked incorrectly before the update, per Google marshmallow design. Now it works the way Google designed it, removing a potential vulnerability in the security login app.Seems to be related to a third part screen lock program. It works fine when using the power switch.
I absolutely noticed this right away. My double tap to sleep function within Nova is totally useless now, since whenever I use it I have to use the pattern to unlock because my fingerprint is not enough. That's crazy. How is that helpful?Anyone find the fingerprint unlocking not working? Before the update I had pattern and fingerprint working. Now I have to enter pattern always.
Yea the only way my fingerprint works when waking the phone is when I use the power button to turn off the screen. Any other method forces me to use fingerprint and pattern/pin.Seems to be related to a third part screen lock program. It works fine when using the power switch.
Although I noticed this too, I'm very cautious as to what those stats actually mean. I think they just shuffled the stats around to make the Android system look like less drain. I am withholding final verdict until after I've tested out the battery life for a few days.I found that Android system is no longer at the top of my battery status. Screen on time is now at the top. Android system is now 3rd in my list. I noticed that immediately after the update. I'm going to run my phone for a full day and see if the battery life changes.

I am not sure this statement can be made yet.... you haven't even run the battery for a full day yet since the update came out less than 24 hours ago lol. I tested out my background drain last night, leaving my phone unplugged for 9 hours. The drain during standby time was exactly the same as before the update. However, I will withhold my final verdict until I've had at least 3 days of testing in the bag.Battery life on this update seems to be significantly better!![]()
Yes I have run it for a full day, and this is a YMMV sort of thing. I'm only posting my personal result lol.I am not sure this statement can be made yet.... you haven't even run the battery for a full day yet since the update came out lol. Note: I have disabled lots of bloat using the method I outlined in my guide in another thread. So my standby background drain was already very good. Maybe for people who have not disabled bloat they will notice a difference.... I can't speak to that.

Lol.... did you look at the internet for 10 of those hours? That's basically what your battery stats say. That's a lot of internet browsing. The battery life I've been getting is amazing! Over 11 hours of SOT.

I haven't updated yet. I assume it's the same if you are using a PIN. Did you find a solution? Fingerprint will be worthless if you still have to use a pattern or PIN. Except I guess for Samsung pay. I hope there is a way to resolve this if it is actually a feature of the update.Anyone find the fingerprint unlocking not working? Before the update I had pattern and fingerprint working. I get great battery life, compared to the S6 and comparable/slightly better then my Z5. What have you done to fix it? Could it be an app you have that is causing the problem? These are tiny computers you can fit in a pocket, about a billion things can go wrong, if your not willing to at least attempt a fix then you can't blame the phone. No

That's a thought about switching android system. HmmmI absolutely noticed this right away. My double tap to sleep function within Nova is totally useless now, since whenever I use it I have to use the pattern to unlock because my fingerprint is not enough. That's crazy. How is that helpful?
