So today i had a chat with ministryofsolutions.com about my chinese Mate 20 X AL00 which came with EMUI 11 preinstalled brand new from DHGate.

He said, that its not possible to unlock the bootloader anymore, because it has EMUI 11 installed and even when we downgrade to EMUI 9.1 the unlock method will not work anymore...
Guys, can you confirm this??? Is there really no way around anymore?

As I understand, I could do a donwgrade to EMUI 9.1 with HiSuite and HiProxy? But still no way to unlock anymore, even on 9.1 then?

Are you saying you can downgrade to 9.1 but the bootloader is locked?
No, im asking if I can downgrade from 11 to 9.1 (maybe via HiSuite Proxy?) and then can unlock the bootloader? Assuming I would get an unlock code ofcourse. Someone told me, after updating to EMUI 11 and then going back to 9.1 no unlocking of bootloader can be done anymore. True?

OR:
Does anyone know how ministryofsolutions is doing it? I dont think he is using a bootloader unlock code. Maybe he is using tools like DC Phoenix?

Why cant you contact ministryofsolutions and just ask? Simple
I also have a Mate 20 X that is a brick and good for literally nothing because I can't root because I can't unlock the boatloader. It's currently collecting dust. Never again.

Ministryofsolutions has told me clearly since the phone is on EMUI 11, even if I managed to downgrade to 9.1 which I haven't been able to figure out how, it still couldn't be rooted.

And OEM Unlock is missing, and even if I could open it to hack a bootloader code, apparently Huawei blocked all bootloader unlocks by changing the boot partition to read only.

I'm not sure if someone would be able to reverse the read only boot partition or maybe bribe the actual Huawei devs to do something about this, but it seems to be very tough to make this device any more than an unrootable piece of trash.

My main device is a Galaxy S20+. Totally rooted and everything, but I wish it were bigger. Even the S23 Ultra is the same size screen so there's no reason to downgrade to the new model.

I have permanently boycotted ALL Huawei products 100% until the day they change this policy of banning all bootloader unlocks.

I'm willing to buy a rooted Mate 20 X 256GB with no screen scratches if someone has one, but I'll never buy another Huawei product for life because of this.

Besides root, the only thing stopping this from being the 100% perfect device would be the screen resolution is only 1080p, and refresh rate is only 60hz. Also that stupid tear drop camera. Also the proprietary NM instead of micro SD, and only IP53.

I otherwise would love the phone because it's the only modern big (wide) phone with an OLED screen today anyone made from any manufacturer, and it's the perfect weight.

Too bad it's a piece of trash to me since I can't root.

I still dont know why Huawei decides to keep bootloaders on extinct phones still locked especially those that are 5 years old. It boggles the mind completely. Its discontinued and no one is buying it anymore.. like unlock it already for the phone enthusiasts who still own it

I feel the same say big time. Huawei just doesnt get it. They really dont know phones fully cuz they dont know the market fully. I hate Huawei for this too and will not buy another huawei product again. Its an idiot company who relies on imitating apple for android. The software is NOT intuitive at all. Samsung is the best in terms of intuitive software at this point. If Huawei had imitated samsung instead of apple I wouldve held a better concept of Huawei.

Youre wrong big time. The note 20 ultra is bigger than the S20+ by a noticeable margin. See for yourself:
