I will try it later: its a bit strange, that this one is 10mb bigger than the previous. Anyway I had before these flashable zips and see, those have the lib unpacked.

Carlink.PNG

This new one has some library files, that the older carlink didn't have. Just wanna see why the previous APK didn't work wireless.

And I already know: it didn't have the library files, that's why it wasn't working. And that explains the difference in file size as well: so I'm going try the new one later.

How you mean breaks Bluetooth pairing/connectivity? I haven't tried it yet, but when you removed it: works the Bluetooth then again?
The previous saved connections couldn't be connected properly, and whenever i tried to re-pair them there was "problem connecting, please restart bluetooth device"

I will try to uninstall it first, maybe even factory reset if the problem still occurs..

I just don't understand, how it can be related to Bluetooth? Because Bluetooth is handled by another app, not Carlink: it only would check, if your phone is connected.

At home I have Carlink version from October: I guess it's better to revert back to an older version? But I don't know where that built-in app store, stored the APK it downloaded the last time.

I tried it at my car just now as well: no errors about the Bluetooth, and the previous version was connecting as well. It just disconnected directly, and after that it wouldn't want to connect anymore.

I'm not sure if the issue is with Carlink, or Android Auto? Because before I got my new Xiaomi Mi 10T, it was working fine. But ever since I got this phone, I started having the issues.

Actually I believe, the issues are caused by Android Auto: because I remember trying out Android Auto 9.0 beta, and that was even worse than Android 8.9 version.

Now Android 9.0 is is the normal version, and I experience precisely the same as back then. Anyway I removed all updates for Carlink, and it reverted back the version from October last year.

There are known issues with Android Auto running on the newly released MIUI 14.
So if your Mi 10T is running MIUI 14 then that might explain why you have issues connecting.

I have deliberately not installed the new update on my Poco phone for this reason.
It might be worth trying another phone.

No it's running Pixel Experience 13, but on that ROM I also have issues and I kinda gave up. As Google Maps and Spotify app, work perfectly fine on the headunit.

Well Im on PE 13+ for Poco F4, the Bluetooth problem i mentioned earlier fixed itself after several reboots.

The latest Carlink above did connect wirelessly but couldnt sustain stable connectivity..

You can try Xiaomi‘ s own carwith software.

That isn't available yet within Europe, and in the end another Android Auto: probably, because Android Auto won't work in mainland China.
The CarWith is not available openly in mainland China, because it's in a test stage. This is a modified version in the shared link . If you want, you can test it. The newest MIUI in your phone perhaps has a complete funciton.

    Factory settings menu
that's not correct, there is no mic sensitivity setting in the factory settings; only BT call volume. The only way to adjust the mic sensitivity is via the config.txt file. eg:

    persist.btmic.gain=10
    2
    #!/system/bin/sh

    cp -v /storage/sdcard1/190000000_com.syu.carlink /oem/app

    chmod 644 /oem/app/190000000_com.syu.carlink

Can I update it with zip like this?
Use attached zip. Unzip it to a usb flash drive. It will install the apk inlcuding the libraries on a 7862 and on a 8581. The name version is the compilation date of the apk.

What is the difference between installing zip and apk? I am curious. Exactly, for example, what kind of differences occur when I install apk or install with zip.
    Sorry. I missed this one.
The zip only contains the apk and libraries. It is not simply something you can install without an lsec script. That is why I added that lsec scriopt later.
The apk as update is enough if the external libraries are not updated. In that case you can "simply" install the apk as any other update.

Is this the latest version we know of by chance? I installed the files via USB and it seems like its still having issues.
That is a strange question. There is nobody here that checks every hour for updates. This is the version of 13 March 2023. If nobody has checked all websites after that and found a new one, you can assume it is the latest version.

Next to that: "The real original" Android Auto offers split-screen since a few months. if the Chinese really add new functionality, like split-screen in the carlink app, they will absolutely inform their users about it and release/publish the new apk. Same for important bug-fixes.
Not correct: Please read @j0hn83's answer below in post #115.

@surfer63 I installed the APK for carlink for the apple carplay feature. The unit seems to be stuck on a verification approved loop
I have attached a link to a video of the issue
    Video
I have no idea. I only provided the apk to @thericksizzler
I don't have an iphone and I don't use Android Auto either.
I have a full-fledged 1280x720 uis7862 4GB/64GB powered unit which does support dashcam, DAB+, reverse camera, TPMS, etcetera.
Personally I think it is completely useless to use either Carplay or AA on such a unit.
You pay 200-500 euros for a great unit and you only use it as a frontend for your phone? For 99 euros you buy a unit which can do carplay and AA just as well.

Hello, I have a CPU unit: UMS512S MCU 2022.07.08 the problem concerns I can't find anywhere to increase the sensitivity of the microphone conversation via carlik 2.0 version 2.22.0714.0919 and via BT the voice is hard to hear can anyone help me?
My recommendation is don't waste your time.
The internal mic is useless and no amount of tweaking will make it useable.
The external mic resellers supply are cheap and I wasted a long time trying to tweak it so others could hear me without success.

In the end I bought my own mic and it made a huge improvement.
Recently I managed to connect my original car microphone and it is perfect.
