2.23.0224.1346 is this the latest version?
I am not entirely sure about the versioning, but looking at previous versions I think it is.
Version 2 compiled on 2023-02-24 13:46

I downloaded this morning Mekede firmware 7862-A12-wbt-9-10.zip with a "Ver" file containing 2023-03-14 09:29:02, which is when the firmware was created.
The carlink version was compiled 2023-03-13 14:19 (so one day earlier than the firmware).
If my reasoning is correct, then your version is slightly older.

Use attached zip. Unzip it to a usb flash drive. It will install the apk including the libraries on a 7862 and on a 8581. The name version is the compilation date of the apk.

Installer removed as it is outdated.

What is the difference between installing zip and apk? I am curious. Exactly, for example, what kind of differences occur when I install apk or install with zip.

Sorry. I missed this one.
The zip only contains the apk and libraries. It is not simply something you can install without an lsec script. That is why I added that lsec scriopt later.
The apk as update is enough if the external libraries are not updated. In that case you can "simply" install the apk as any other update.

Is this the latest version we know of by chance? I installed the files via USB and it seems like its still having issues.
That is a strange question. There is nobody here that checks every hour for updates. This is the version of 13 March 2023. If nobody has checked all websites after that and found a new one, you can assume it is the latest version.

Next to that: "The real original" Android Auto offers split-screen since a few months. if the Chinese really add new functionality, like split-screen in the carlink app, they will absolutely inform their users about it and release/publish the new apk. Same for important bug-fixes.
Not correct: Please read @j0hn83's answer below in post #115.

@surfer63 I installed the APK for carlink for the apple carplay feature. The unit seems to be stuck on a verification approved loop
I have attached a link to a video of the issue

I have no idea. I only provided the apk to @thericksizzler
I don't have an iphone and I don't use Android Auto either.
I have a full-fledged 1280x720 uis7862 4GB/64GB powered unit which does support dashcam, DAB+, reverse camera, TPMS, etcetera.
Personally I think it is completely useless to use either Carplay or AA on such a unit.
You pay 200-500 euros for a great unit and you only use it as a frontend for your phone? For 99 euros you buy a unit which can do carplay and AA just as well.

I have the same MEKEDE M500S as you. I really only use carplay and sometimes OBD2 stuff. While it is kinda useless to only use for a couple things, it is better than the OEM radio that came with the car.

The rest might be minor changes in layout, bug-fixing (the minor ones), translations, etc. which they will not communicate most of the time.
Coolwalk (split screen/cards) surprisingly works perfectly on the carlink app with both waze and Google maps. It was initially Google maps only but that was due to waze.
The car headlights even control dark mode.

I recall many posts here a few months ago asking about support for coolwalk but don't recall anyone saying it works.
The delay was purely on Google's end with coolwalk being slowly rolled out initially.

I drive another car with true Android Auto and as soon as Google marked my account as having the upgrade it worked on both cars immediately. Everything that works on the real thing works on carlink (that I've checked, I don't use it very often).

Edit: to add, I enabled developer options in Android Auto on my phone to disable wireless Android Auto. It's never worked for me. Every time I try it disconnects from the 5Ghz hotspot for a split second and it crashes. It works on 2.4Ghz but buffers online media.
I think I also fixed the resolution within those developer settings. I don't know if this makes any difference.

    This is a newest version.

    Factory settings menu
that's not correct, there is no mic sensitivity setting in the factory settings; only BT call volume. The only way to adjust the mic sensitivity is via the config.txt file. eg:

    persist.btmic.gain=10
