I wonder if carlink update can allow us to change DPI for android auto, the interface feels too small for my eyes.

Use attached zip. Unzip it to a usb flash drive. It will install the apk inlcuding the libraries on a 7862 and on a 8581. The name version is the compilation date of the apk.
I have another china android player and uses carlink too. It is android 12 and is on a 2022 version of carlink. The Feb 2023 carlink works well but is unable to keep connectivity if there is wireless interference e.g going through a carpark gantry. This is regardless of using android auto or apple Carplay. Was wondering if this march version will fix it or its the same ?

It isn't. If it uses the same carlink then it is an FYT and it is Android 10 with a fake flag to change the number.

There is no Android 11, 12 or 13 on this platform. Only Android 10.
I can just as easily make is say Android 99.

My bootscreen is showing android 12 though. isn't it too much effort to even change the bootscreen? But you could be right but I am more interested in whether the latest update is able to resolve the wireless interference issue. The moment it disconnects, it doesn't reconnect

I can give you a script that makes it say Android 34 or 123, or whatever. Also very simple.

This is an extremely specific question I have not seen before, and as you are quoting me, I can only say: try it out.
You do not mention if it reconnects after xy seconds or minutes.
If it is a WiFi disturbance, the app can't help it. It can only try to reconnect. Maybe the developers could improve on that, if they did not already do so.

In case you missed out my message, it doesn’t reconnect at all. Seems like the app crashed. I am quoting because my android unit doesn’t support update zip I think and I am unable to do anything with the latest carlink zip you uploaded, and installing the apk itself has of no use at all. So was wondering if someone could bundle the libraries together in the apk, which I believe someone in page 3 managed to do it for the Feb 2023 version. Any help is deeply appreciated

The mechanism of update.zip does not work on these units.
That's why we use lsec scripts to "push" something on these units.
I created that script for the 13 March version including the libraries, but I have no idea whether that contains the the bug fix you are requesting.
Please send an email to your reseller mentioning this bug and hopefully they will forward it to the "carlink programmer/team".

Yes, but you need the zip from post #108. That is an installer.
However, that is no longer the latest version as the new Joying version is from 06 May. The post #108 version is from 13 March. I will remove it.

Edit: The new version comes with a new APK and a couple of updated libraries, but not all. The AndroidAuto library has been updated. The Carplay libraries not.

Edit2: For those who want to try. Please find the 06 May 2023 carlink version of Joying attached. It is a scripted installer.

Unfortunately I do not have the libraries for it. You can try flashing zip from post #130 from surfer63 and then just updating the APK normally.
Also I am attaching newer lsec6315update for devices that complain about using old version during flashing.

I guess that's not how it works. Libraries are changes for every update.

The engineer over Skype sent me the APK without any libs and said to install it. My previous version was from February (it did not work for me as I got black screen during connection and then it returned back to CarLink app). I was contacting him regarding issues with Wireless AA as it disconnects few seconds after connecting (I can see maps and Spotify but then it just disconnects). It worked wirelessly like twice maybe due to right constellation of stars or something :D so I am using cable but that gets disconnected too sometimes, probably it is phone problem (MIUI 14).

My wife has the same issue with her poco phone with MIUI 14.
With my pixel 7 phone wireless works flawlessly.

Then it might be phone issue, I have Poco F2 Pro. Wired AA seems to be working fine for me now.

I was just looking for a way to bump the size of things for CarLink on my TEyes CC3 2K. This is a great find and share! Interestingly, the whole Android Auto layout changed up a bit. The old weather info that went away with landscape panels on the Coolwalk layout appears to be back, but the launcher bar moved from the side back to the bottom. Not sure I think it's the best layout vs. the "before" side-by-side. But the readability and touch interaction is way better.

Wireless was working fine for me and then it stopped a week or so ago when there was an Android Auto update on the play store.
There was another update showing yesterday and wireless is working again.
Worth looking for an update on your phone if you are having issues connecting.

Hello. I managed to install carlink from a guy on youtube but it not have Carplay support. Only shows Android auto. Can someone help me with a apk that have CarPlay Support.
Your unit is not a FYT unit, so you are in the wrong sub-forum. If you had read this thread you would have known that just a few posts/pages up in this thread the latest carlink is shared.

I never owned that Pioneer. A friend did. It came with a GPS antenna in the box like pretty much all Android head units. So if the car does not have a GPS antenna circuit you could have GPS all the same.

I used to have an Alpine ILX-700 (ILX-007) which only used the phone antenna. I've never had any complaints but it was a very special head unit: exclusively made for Apple CarPlay, no Android Auto, and not even a built-in GPS navigation system! A polarizing product. As for me, I liked it. But I won't expand much more on it because I fear this is becoming too much off-topic, which is dedicated to Car Link.

Hi all, I received an updated CarLink version today from my unit's supplier so figured I'd upload it here for everyone. Just unzip and install like any other .apk

    Cheers
It is indeed a new version. Compilation date "2023-07-11 08:52:21".
And it comes with all libraries packed internally.

I still wait for you to come back from vacation and test it correctly before updating
Ever thought of doing it yourself? I am not your personal servant. The magic word "please" also can help. You could have unzipped the file, use my modifications (post #148) and rezip it.
I am not even using it myself as I don't use Android Auto.

Anyway, see attached as I assume others might need it as well. The carlink 22 May 2023 version (compilation date, not file date) is still the latest (in my posession at least)
