But not in the case of the NFC version of the Redmi 9 (M2004J19AG)
For now. It's Only one method to unlock any Xiaomi Device Bootloader. but As many customers that owned Redmi 9 ( NFC version ) faced this problem which we don't know any thing about it for now.

All what you gonna do is:
- Report to xiaomi
- Waiting a new update from Xiaomi

M2004J19C - without NFC
M2004J19AG - with NFC

Now no one knows how to unlock the bootloader on the NFC version. The support service is talking nonsense. We have to wait or start a riot.

I received information from the technical support that only one phone number must be active on the smartphone, the one assigned to the account. Secondly, if it still does not work, try several times until it shows the time to unlock.
It worked for me.

No way you can't !

But, Could you ( Or any one :D ) try this method:

Try insert another Sim card and make a new Mi account with it !
Then try to unlock it .
The sim has to be active right? I kind of just wanted to use this phone without service, just wifi.

I do have an assurance wireless sprint sim but it seems it got locked after a little bit when I put it in the redmi 9. Didn't work with unlocking after the sim locked message came up so I'm not sure if I should even bother.

Assurance wireless says it only supports specific phones and of course this one isn't one of them.

Oh sorry ? to hear that. That's why we should not skipping the terms. Anyway I was thinking about Sim cards ( Cellular Network ) to make a new account on new phone number ( New account with new phone number ) to try unlocking Nfc model

It's fine for now I think. My main concern was uninstalling those stock apps / bloatware and I used the xiaomi adb tools. Well, it's still a rather new phone so maybe someone will come up with a way to root it without going through Xiaomi like with the Note 3
