Try it for yourself. I just got it. This phone rocks!!
I can second this part.
Personally, I bought this device as a *phone* first and foremost.
I was curious about the so-called holographic display, but that wasn't a factor for my purchase decision.
I didn't have high expectations for the camera and I likely won't buy any modules, either.
What sold me was the robust industrial design. I wasn't interested in yet another iphonesque piece of kit.
Samsung, Apple, Oppo, Xiaomi... I can barely tell them apart, and quite frankly I'm tired of that trend.
I love the look and feel; and, performance is great.
The 3D/4V screen is actually quite fun and there's a lot of great shared content on Holopix,
shot by other Hydrogen One owners who know how to handle a camera. (^;
Seriously, you gotta see and try One for yourself.
Most people that tried mine thought it was "so cool" or "awesome",
but you won't know what *you* think until you try it.
If you're in the US, you should be able to handle a demo unit in a carrier store
or by catching the Hydrogen tour (see
War Wagons near the bottom).
