BTW can anyone tell me why the hell our worthless US carriers are pushing out this update instead of it coming directly from Google itself?

I thought this was MY Xoom, not Verizon's XOOM. Why do they have to have all the updates go through them?

I was under the impression from my conversation with the Verizon people that the update is manufacturer released. So either they lied, Google is releasing it, or Google gave it to Moto to release.

It does go through google. This is the line that comes up in the logcat (after doing the date-change trick):

I am pretty surprised that it is still being rolled out so fricken slow. There haven't been any reports of major issues at all. Still have not received mine, 4g from Motorola.

Don't have it yet either but I noticed my Xoom is now checking for updates every 2 hours or so instead of just twice a day. Hopefully its gearing up to get it soon.

As I crossed midnight eastern time I forced a check and am finally getting the update. Now I just need my google music invite and I will be good to go.

both of my non-activated 3g units are sitting in Arizona without an update. They are on my wifi 27/4.

Just got the update on both my Xoom's. Also the date change trick does work.

the change date does work, i just changed the date to monday and it immediately said there was an update. it was freaky but cool.=) downloading now
