This is from LG Chat Rep
Talked to another LG rep, this one seemed to know a little more than the others. He sent me this Memo for the Trial that was sent to him from his supervisors.
"Customers can register from 5/9 – 5/12 on LG.com/g4trial On 5/12/2015 or 5/13/2015 customers will be notified if they have been selected as a winner. The device will be sent to the address provided during registration, if the address is different they must provide it within 48 hours of being notified. A signature of an adult over 18 is required to receive the device. The devices are global and not made for the U.S. market. These are designed to be used as Wi-Fi devices in the United States. The customers may or may not be able to activate this on local networks, LG does not offer any support for activation of these devices. The winner is allowed to keep the device once the trial is finished."
So it is listed as WiFi only because you may or may not be able to get it activated on your network. So it sounds like the ability to activate it is there, just whether or not your carrier can activate it, is the issue.
He also said that if you havent received a shipping email, then it is possible they just shipped it without sending tracking information.
