Which package disabler are you using if you don't mind?
This. I'm running Samsungs though. There's a version for non-Samsung devices but I never used that one.
Used this app for 3 years and it runs well.
The company replies to emails promptly.

As for your search bar see if you can disable it in apps. I just kill it with PD. On my Samsungs I also have the option to remove it from the homepage (push, hold, punch remove from home).
I think that app also makes another annoying search mod to the browsers but it's been a while since I had to look at it.

A little late to the party. Always used Lawnchair launcher on my Pixel3. Just got my P6 a few days ago and upgraded to Lawnchair again. Seems pretty stable on Android 12. I add Lawnfeed to enable Google feed left-swipe. Lawnchair is pretty similar to Pixel launcher except you can customize much more than stock (ie, disabling the bottom search bar).
That what I used on my v60 before this.

Not yet. It is a requested feature on the Discord Channel with quite a few upvotes so hopefully in the future. Material You widgets don't update automatically at this time either (unless Pixel launcher is still in memory).

The widgets will change but you need to turn screen off first. If they change while phone screen is off (wallpaper timer or app in use) the new color will show when unlocked.

The one thing I hate about pixel launcher is lack of customization. I like having a 6x6 grid, and Google stops at 5x5. Nova allows a custom grid of up to 12 which is a bit much for me, but essentially would allow someone to post all their icons on one screen lol. It's a very nice launcher and never had any issues with it.

I guess not? Pretty annoying as I never use it.
Get/use a custom launcher like Nova launcher -So much easier to customize and so many more features.

This is really bothering me. I dont want a 3rd party launcher, the launcher is fine except for that stupid search bar. Also I had many problems with 3rd party launchers in the past, and I'd rather keep the stock one which is tailored to the Pixel 6 series.

    Then you're missing out IMHO.
There is nothing "wrong" with the Pixel launcher per se, as long as you don't care that Google, like Apple, dictates how you interact with your phone; but, if you want to customize your phone to your liking, a custom launcher is the only way to go.
Nova has been rock-stable for a long time and has a myriad of great features, most of which are free.
