Anybody know if the QX10/QX100 support our Ultra?

Haven't seen any picture or mention of supporting phones/tablets this big, and I'm worried the extending arms on the lens don't go that far out.

I'm waiting to see what the image quality of these lenses is like, but if it's decent enough, I may sell my Samsung NX20 and lenses for one or both and have some money left over.

Unfortunately, the answer is no, this phone is too wider, xz and xz1 compatible with that camera.

Actually it work with the XZU, but can't be attached on the phone. Just can hope sony make an adaptator for the XZU. It can be use with many android devices (some test show it working on galaxy s3/4 and htc one)

Not EXACTLY fitting the discussion here .........

Juts received my DSC-QX100 3 hours ago. Setting it up is just a matter of minutes. Adapter does NOT fit the ZU (but will on Z1 which should be delivered tomorrow).

I will use it mainly professionally (medical recording) and for this - after the first some test pics - this cam is phenomenal.

Actually I wonder if I would attach it at all to a phone since the freedom to position the cam anywhere but still have full control via ZU is a complete new photo-taking experience. I will report more once I have some days of experience .........

( I am NO professional photographer, so my expectancy is to get quickly and easy super-sharp photos for teaching reasons, a superfast autofocus and a perfect zoom to the focus of interest, and so far DSC-QX100 seems to fulfill this task perfectly)

Sony Xperia Z ultra n Sony QX10

I have both the QX10 and Szu.
The camera can't attach to the phone as the attaching mechanism is not wide enough. I got a small mini tripod on ebay which has the camera on. So I just point and shoot away with the phone. Only nag I have about the camera is lack of manually being able to focus.but the Qx10. Addresses this issue. still the QX10 gets pretty good pictures and the video quality is good as well. If u are the type that makes YouTube videos, I sure recommend this camera. The amount of freedom and flexibility it gives you when you shoot videos is really nice.as being able to set ur phone or tablet down as a viewfinder makes recording a doodle.

Concerning lag on the ZU display:

There is certainly some lag caused by WiFi-transferral as I experienced in my tests yesterday evening, especially when the QX100 is moved very fast. I was afraid that this could harm the photo quality, but this is not the case. When QX100 is held constant there is (almost) no lag.

Pictures are ultrasharp even in very low light ( for tests and for my tasks to take medical pictures I set the QX100 to take pix at max res (20mpx))

I have some test pix (5MB each) taken at very low light at dawn yesterday evening. I attached them as .zips here (original shots)

Really impressive, feel like I'll jump on the QX10 as soon as I can.

You have to get QX 100 ! QX 10 is just a lens comparable to Z1´s integrated cam ! (which is also VERY impressive, got my Z1 just yesterday evening, still installing apps)

Saw several test and the QX10 is above the Z1. You can compare them only for the sensor, but actually the lens is far above Z1 quality and the JPEG compression as well. On the Z1 there is so much JPEG artifacts that doesn't exist with the QX10 and the luminosity gained with the QX10 make pictures look better. For the price of the QX100 I would take a compact Sony camera that give better results than it.
