I'd probably have a good solid cry.guys i was trying to see if i could get mine to squeak or groan so I took my xoom between my hands and gave it a good twist from side to side and the damn thing broke.

That's uh... kinda normal... it's how the majority of tablet touch screens work, if you apply too much pressure on the touch screen computer my brother owns, you will see the same thingMine is over the 14 day return time frame to staples, but in any event, I bought mine the friday prior to launch day and I did notice that, mostly on the right hand side of the screen, the LCD does that liquidy thing when you press hard on an LCD screen..but only if you tap it slightly harder than normal. Is that fairly common/normal? I'd wager to say no, but who the hell knows with MFG these days...
I bought my xoom on launch day and love it but on the left side next to the volume buttons i get a creak sound and a loose feeling like the back cover is loose its right under the volume down button
i looked it up on google and saw someone else have the same problem but im not sure if i get another if its gonna feel the same way
No i know that. I don't mean like pounding on the thing, I mean like i go and give it a good tap...theres just one part of it on the right of the screen that seems to do it more so. I'd have to seriously press down on the screen elsewhere to get it to do it..not that I'm trying to be stupid to break it.That's uh... kinda normal... it's how the majority of tablet touch screens work, if you apply too much pressure on the touch screen computer my brother owns, you will see the same thing

I don't know... I was impressed at first and not so much now.XOOM build quality is epic. It's why I'm not spending less for Acer/Asus. Moto really did a good job here.
I don't have that, been tapping on whits screens for a good minute( white screens are where it might be most noticeable) and I don't seem to get it, I have to tap pretty hard to get that. Could you maybe make a video showing this? It might explain it a little better. No i know that. I first noticed it when tapping around with the stylus I bought for it.
Weird? I have the portfolio case too. Take it out put it back quite often. The case just adds goodness to the thing. No harm.I returned it for a new one and I've had no problems with my new xoom.
Maybe since I bought mine launch day they have since fixed the problem
I noticed that the motorola xoom portfolio case might have caused it because when you pull the xoom to setup at an angle or pull it from the case you put stress on the back
i have the same liquid thingy on the right side of the screen whe pressing hard. unlocking. the xoom is wonky too sometimesI don't have that, been tapping on whits screens for a good minute( white screens are where it might be most noticeable) and I don't seem to get it, I have to tap pretty hard to get that. Mine has a very little give if I press my lower right corner also. I wouldn't notice it though if I had not checked all my corners for looseness after reading this thread. Not an issue at all, its not like I would press the corner in that hard anyway. I think the xoom has the best build quality out of all the android tablets. I played with the Acer tablet at best buy today and I thought it looked and felt cheap and plasticky compared to the xoom.Anyone notice the bottom-right corner has some play in it? I push on mine and you can feel it moving. A buddy of mine has the same issue. He bought his a week later from me.
