anyone have the alpharev clockwork? i believe it was like 4.0.1.4 or something like that? its the modified blue one with all issues fixed ... I have updated to 5.0.1.0 but am scared to do anything with it now that i have read various issues with the newest one loosing root.

Not quite sure iv read so much contradictory info about them all. If there's no issues with that one ill try it but I'd almost rather just go back to the alpharev since there's nothing wrong with it

Well, idk about 5.0.0.8, bt with the latest (5.0.1.0) you lose root access after restoring nand backup(even tho superuser and su r still there). Had to reflash the ROM again.tried this with two diff roms and same issue. On 4.0.1.4 I don't have this problem after restoring a nand backup
