Anyone notice how easy it is to wipe fingerprints off the screen?

My 25/05/11 Sensation gets smudges on its screen very easily, and they are difficult to wipe off. It's also pretty hard to see in sunlight unless it's on maximum brightness.

Strange how I'm getting the opposite experience to other people here - jealous of you!
Did you remove the plastic film on the screen that was there when the phone came out of the package? If not, I can see why it's not easy to clean!

All I do is rub it across my man boob (only when I'm wearing a shirt!) (yes, man boobs are good for something!) and all prints are gone :D

I had the one that was easy to wipe off...exchanged it today because I had a dead pixel and now the new one feels like regular glass..Smudges are horrible...But the screen colors and clarity looks ALOT better...Just can't wipe it on my man boob or shoulder anymore to wipe clean. This is definitely not the same type screen.

Has anyone figured out which of the 2 known screen manafacturers may be making the smudge resistant one? not that i'd return the phone for having finger prints, but would be good to know if this makes a difference.

I returned my AUO screen last night and that was super easy to wipe clean. My new one is another AUO and it's a lot harder to wipe clean. Also, the screen is much less contoured than the first screen. It's almost flat and the other one was definitley contoured.

The LCD is not the glass.... Makes no difference who makes the LCD.

Corning makes Gorilla Glass and that's on every Sensation. Noboby has a different sheet of glass.

I don't know why anyone would want to put a ugly piece of plastic over this beautiful slab of glass.... Unless you have horrible luck or just abuse your phone, GG isn't going to scratch. My friends Droid is beat to hell....except for his GG screen....which doesn't have a single blemish and has never had a screen protector.
That was all I needed to see to say bye bye forever to screen protectors with Gorilla Glass.

Thank You Corning!!

I too have noticed that this screen does not smudge easy, and when it does it comes off very easy. Haven't had it long to see how durable the screen is to scratching. I can't stand screen protectors. I had my Droid x for about a year, and not one scratch can you find. Hoping this will be the same. My g2x scratched easy and was a smudge magnet. What a better phone this is!

That's how mine is. It's rather odd that these slipped through manufacturing so easily. I hate it.

I've noticed this. It is much easier to clean than the Galaxy S II screen.

Also I agree with jrwingate6 above, the screen is great in direct sunlight, actually better than SAMOLED+. Which I didn't expect considering everyone was moaning about it.
