Anyone out there with a B60K dock? Trying to confirm dock drain fixed or not.

There is a lot of discussion going on about the dock draining whilst in standby issue. It is rumoured that Asus have fixed the problem with the B60K dock. I've got a ticket open with them, but they refuse to answer the direct question.

So are there any B60K dock owners out there who would be prepared to perform a simple test? The serial number is on a label on the front edge of the dock.

Simply install the dual battery widget from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1123363

1) Then charge up both dock and tablet to 100%.
2) Switch into airplane mode.
3) Switch the docked tablet into standby and close the lid.
4) Go to bed :)
5) Wake up :)
6) Switch on the docked tablet and see what the battery levels are and post them here. Plus how long it was in standby. It would also be helpful to repeat the test with the tablet in full shutdown when docked.

If the dock battery has dropped 15+% then the B60K docks still have the problem. If it's around 98% and enough people can confirm it, then we'll know once and for all that Asus has sneaked out a fix :)

Together we can cut through the uncertainty and silence!

Thanks.

Not exactly what you asked for, but...

B60 tab and dock.
last night I had them docked in standby with airplane mode on.
Tab: 100% Dock: 34%
9 hours later:
Tab: 97% Dock: 33%
I can say that I have not seen greater then 3% loss (on both the tab/dock so 6% total) in a 10 hour period of time whether powered off or in standby.
I do tend to leave it in airplane mode and make sure the wireless is off when I know it will be in standby for a while.

Other notes:
I am sure this is just my bad luck, but the build quality is not as good as my B50 dock. The rotating portion of the dock is slightly off-center. This is not noticeable until I close the dock. When closed the dock and the tab do not quite line up right. My B50 lined up perfectly. I also noticed some creaking in the dock when putting some pressure in some spots in the middle of the back.

I like that the battery drain issue looks to be resolved, but I will likely return this one as well and try to get one with a better fit.

A quick note on the B60 tab, the quality on it is great. Zero light bleed. No issues there. Now I just have to fight Sears to get them to take the B50 tab back. When I called their customer service I was told I had 90 days and that I needed to return it in store. I was traveling and did not have the box with me. When I tried to return it at 32 days in store they wouldn't take it. I had to talk to a manager about the situation. He has opened a help ticket to see what he can do for me.

Thanks for the response. A few more similar and I think we can confirm that Asus have indeed quietly implemented a fix in the B60K's. I guess this indicates the problem requires a hardware change and cannot be fixed in firmware.

Unfortunately Asus, like other manufacturers, are probably scared about ridiculous class actions suits. So they are just hoping this one will quietly go away once the fixed docks outnumber the older ones.

Pity about your fit issue though. Worrying :(

The B60K HAS had a fixed implemented

Asus have finally replied to my direct question on my ticket re. whether the B60K has had a fix implemented:

"A fix has been implemented. "

I guess that answers the question. It pays to be persistent ;) My B50K obviously cannot be fixed with a firmware update. RMA time.
