Anyone planning on using a Style Ring or similar on their Note 8?

I do a lot of walking in Central London, barging through countless tourists and so on. I use wireless headphones so keeping my phone in a pocket affects the line of sight and breaks up the Blutooth signal, so I keep the phone in my hand (also i like to manage my music and check train times, etc). I currently use a Nexus 6P and it is so big, I have put a Spigen Style Ring on the back to allow me to use the phone without fear of it being knocked out of my hand, or even grabbed by some thieving crapbag (even though the joke would be on them, as I have the dreaded battery/shutdown issue).

Anyone else planning on using one, or similar device? Any better option out there? I will also have a skin and have bought a Ringke Slim in case the skin doesn't work out.

I have used Bluetooth headphones on a couple of phones including my note 8. I always keep my phone in my pocket and have never had a problem with Bluetooth breaking up. When I was a machinist I would keep my phone in my toolbox and walk around the shop and it never broke up. Try different headphones.

The headphones aren't the problem, bluetooth naturally suffers in the outdoors, where line of sight is reduced. My phone usually lives in my back pocket, hence the worsened connection problems. Anyway, this thread was for any suggestion re. the use of a Style Ring of any kind....

Bluetooth doesn't rely on LOS. It does however rely on 2.4ghz spectrum which is overly crowded. And anything that interferes with that spectrum will interfere with bluetooth.

I have one on my S7 Edge.
I'm thinking about getting it on my Note 8, but there are both strong pros and cons to it.

Pros:
- Once it becomes used too much it's much easier to rotate, you can use the phone as a fidget spinner! :)
- When I was in Thailand, it probably saved my phone a few times as I was able to take photos on a really unsteady speedboat without fear of dropping my phone.
- The phone is much easier to hold when taking selfies. Just push your middle finger (XD) through the ring and use your thumb to take photos. Piece of cake.

Cons:
- I couldn't get wireless charging to work anymore as the ring was in the way, not a huge deal to me but it's somewhat of a deal as I do have a powerbank with wireless charging.

I am probably not getting the ring and get a nice dbrand skin instead.
But for those who care about holding their phone safely, the ring is a fantastic option. Just remember, it messes up wireless charging and is probably not removable. I never tried to remove the ring but it IS really strongly glued which is how it's supposed to be, you don't want your phone decoupling while you're fidget spinning it around :D

I used to have a FlyGrip on my Note 4's Caseology bumper. They are made for iPhones, but will work for other phones. Ruins wireless charging but they are perfect for one-handed use of large phones.

I just bought this detachable lanyard and hope it works well, it should not effect the wireless charger since it is pretty thin and goes on at the bottom

I also put this on my phones, and depending on the placement or how big the phone is depends on it stopping wireless charging, I have a previous phones one, on my note 8 at the bottom and it does not stop wireless charging when it is naked, not sure how it will work with a case on and or with the strap i bought on also.

We will see!

Your links don't work, they both say 'hxxps://'

That has to be a joke, right?

If not:
replace hxxps with https
I did, and those links still didn't open. Copied it with my SPen and made the change. When they still didn't open, I posted. I'm not up on my XDA rules, but is there a prohibition against posting links to products?

EDIT: My apologies, this time it worked!?
