I broke my HTC Sensation screen as well. I bought a screen on Ebay from Mengtorusa in California. It's labeled with HTC and T-Mobile, but based on the numbers, it looks like it won't work. Here's the new digitizer details:
(Numbers were on the opposite side of the cable, not the black side)
PYD_6042A_FPC Rev ?? (Covered by warranty sticker)
nK VS T<>2 VTM ???? (Covered by warranty sticker)
My original screen is:
PYD V1.0
SW-10 94V-0
E308252 1113
I've also noticed there are minor differences in the traces on the back of the screen. If anyone's interested, I'll post pictures.
When discussing screen compatibilities, it might help if everyone mentions what country you're from. Different version phones likely went to different countries, and saying a certain screen works in your phone might not be so helpful to someone in the States if you're from Europe. BTW, I'm in the US.
Also, I don't remember where, but in my hours of trying to research this, I came across a mention there was a difference between an HTC Sensation, and an HTC Sensation 4G. Maybe the 4G is T-Mobile only? Or US only?
I'm wondering if a screen recalibration might fix things? I'm using a Dell Streak as my spare until I get my Sensation working, and if you hold certain buttons while turning on, and enter a code, you get to a menu where you can check and calibrate just about everything, including the touch screen. Maybe this delay is really a recalibration when the phone realizes the stored parameters are not working? It would make sense, as I'm sure power is cut to the digitizer when the screen goes black, and if the stored parameters don't work, the screen recalibrates on the fly, and those settings may last until it loses power. Does anyone know if the Sensation has a Diag menu?
