Finally got my return kit! Post lady put it in the wrong box (that wasn't used by any neighbor). Packed ready to go. Does the post office give you a drop off receipt like UPS does? Be nice to have proof of drop off.

I get access denied when on a VPN. Turn it off for a minute if you have one.

Yes, just ask for the receipt when you drop it off, you can then track it. Mine was supposed to be delivered back to them yesterday, but it's been delayed for some reason.

Received my return kit beginning of last week. Sent the phone out last Weds. Once it was in the USPS system it had an estimated date of delivery of Saturday 8/6. What I have showing currently is "

From reading the other posts I'm getting concerned that this is not going to end well. Looks like Google's subcontractor is not prepared to receive and process the number of tradeins they are receiving and that many will just disappear into the system or be mis-handled.
What recourse does one have if either the USPS loses the return or Google claims they never received it?

Your package will arrive later than expected, but is still on its way. It is currently in transit to the next facility." Again I wonder what the resolution is if the USPS never delivers the trade in. I suspect Google gives a hearty "tough s***".

I really hope you all get your money back in an appropriate amount of time and I believe you will. Thing is I had a P6 and Google didn't offer trade-in for that device. Plus the fact I had a slight crack in the bottom of the back glass. So I went to BB and they gave me $250 for the P6 instead of the 300 Google was offering for P5 and below. Looks like a deal now considering the amount of time some have spent tracking the return. But I would have done the same for the 50 savings. Just an FYI for the future if things don't turn out well. ( besides this fact: When I went to BB on release Thursday they had it mis-marked at $399 not 449 for about 5 minutes. I called the offices and they gave me a credit on my CC for the $50)

Called google yesterday and today they gave me the full $300 refund even though the phone still appears to be in transit at the NASHVILLE TN DISTRIBUTION CENTER ANNEX. I would call Google and see what they can do.

Seeing someone else's comment above looks like I'm not the only person that had their device stolen in the Nashville TN Distribution center.

Yeah I had sent my trade-in on the 28th of July and received email from google that my trade in was received on the Aug 3rd and the next day I received email stating my trade-in was successful for full $100.00, since I traded-in my pixel 3XL, I had no issues with trade in.

So, I finally received an email response from Google Supoort regarding my initial inquiry as to why I hadn't received my trade in kits yet and was told they couldn't verify my shipping address. I guess the phone that was on the same order (and the last 4 phones I've ordered from the Store) arrived by sheer luck. I've got one more day on my return window and I'm just about ready to pull the plug.

Mine said the same. The USPS said to file a missing mail claim, which I did. No one cares, not Google or the USPS.

My trade-in eta was Monday. It was delayed at USPS Nashville until today (Thursday) just got my refund, got the full $300.

Trade in credit was issued to me for $300 thankfully. I was skeptical but they paid. Awesome.
Took around 10 days from mailing in the 3a until refund
