Does every brand make exploding phone's and washers that injure people. My phone has ARISE on it and I have the dual speaker mod so yes I do have stereo speakers which blow my Note 7 speakers out of the water. I also am not one who likes a bunch of gimmicks which Samsung often puts on there phones. Things like hands free notification and waving your palm in front of the screen to turn a page. I do agree that $900 is steep for the pixel XL but all premium phone's are now $800 to $1000 that is just the way the market has gone. Oh by the way the pixel has gestures and also Google assistant that is already far advanced over the reports of Samsungs second try at an assistant bixby..... but you do your own homework. I believe the peeps at XDA said it best below.

Themes, everyone but Google.

You complain so hard about Samsung and tout the mantra of Pixel is development but the crazy thing is a ton of the functionality you have now is from other OEMs developing code that Google used. Wow mind blown. Of course you want to talk about dishwashers, or washing machines or whatever.

So can we talk about every time our data was compromised with Google? Since we are bringing up issues that have no baring in this convo, ya know since every party has to atone for their sins?

My niece was one that was burned from my Aunt's Note 7 I live in MN you can look that story up fanboy. This was supposedly a safe unit after the first recall!! Oh and by the way I have seen you help but I have also seen you troll and bully in these forums. True helpers don't bully they help keep development going they sure don't troll like you!! I also have an inside tract on Samsung trying to cover there asses and not take care of the damage they have caused so maybe I do know a little more about Samsung then you claim to know cause my family has been directly impacted by there mass production and inability to do quality checks. If someone were to think about switching to something then why not to the new HTC Ocean or HTC 11 that will be due out soon. It will be faster than any S anything and HTC phones get s-off unlock support from the sunshine app team, then add on HTC phones get the most dev support with the most mods and custom roms so the new HTC phone due out would be an excellent choice to switch to as it will be a lot faster and smoother with better audio, its pretty much a no brainier unless you like being locked down by Samsung which most people do not.

Yea I'm thinking of switching as well. I'm tired of this bluetooth crap man. 7.1.2 installed and still the bluetooth starts skipping on music with my powerbeats headset. Seems outside noise triggers it. A reboot cures it for a bit but comes back eventually. verizon is giving $480 depending on what they appraise it so I'm thinking about that.

Did you try a different music app? I've seen the Bluetooth issue and tried several apps until I found one that doesn't skip.
