Anyone used XtremeSkins before?

I use a skin and a case to avoid scratches due to dust under the case.
So if Im going to sell the device in a year or so it's going to look like new with little to no scratches.

Grip improvement?

Hi,

can anyone comment whether any of these skins (Xtremeskins, dbrand) improve the grip of the Oneplus 5? I find the back of the O+5 extremely slippery and as such an easy target for a nasty drop when picking it up, or trying to type while holding in a single hand..

In the past, I had good experience with transparent plastic back protectors from XtremeGuard, but they seem to be less active these days. Would a skin from xtremeskins or dbrand fit the purpose here?

Thanks for the feedback!

G.

hello :)

Stupid question: can you still use a protective glass if you apply a skin on the front of the phone? Will it stick on it like it does on the glass?
Thanx for your feedback :)
It'd be a bit pointless putting the skin on and then a full body tempered glass (with the black parts) over it as you wont see the skin. If you're going down this route you may want to try one of the screen protectors that doesn't cover the full screen as they're clear.

Although saying that your screen would be at two different levels so not sure the adhesive would work correctly.

No I would say not..you could do it the other way round but you'll have a nice big ridge..I did this with a normal flat screen protector and it does not look good. My advice, leave the front and get a decent tgsp or Matt protector.

The orzly if fitted perfectly is a decent one.

Never tell him the odds!

But in all honestly, I think it would probably create more touchscreen issues as the TGSP would technially be slighty futher away from the screen
Agree with this, as the TGSP would be lifted further away from the screen due to the skin it most likely is not worth the risk at all, but again if you want to nothing is stopping you, but its not worth it lol

What about the TGSP from XtremeSkins guys ?
I'm about to buy a skin from that brand. I'm surprised that they also make tgsp... xD

If it's not too late, I would seriously advise against getting the tgsp from them. To begin with its more narrow than the screen so you lose a mm or 2 on each side. on top of that it's a huge fingerprint magnet and just looks really bad when the screen is off. That being said, their skin was the first I've tried and I'm pretty happy with it.

Poor adhesive

For me, delivery was perfect, cutout shape nearly perfect. However very poor adhesive, stuck to the rounded edges for about 3 seconds even though surface was clean. Then i could peel it off just like that.
