Anyone using this on Verizon yet?

Interesting, thanks for the update! I'm using an activated sim from my Pixel 2 as well. It says 4G LTE on the sim too and my model xz2 compact is the same H8314. So maybe it is the UK firmware in my case, I'm going to keep trying to figure out my drivers issue this weekend to flash US firmware and see if that helps.
I hope you're able to get it working, I really like the phone so far. It's the perfect size imo. I don't use my phone for much, generally on a computer 12 hours a day, so it's nice having a small phone with top-tier specs again.

Finally got it working! It was the firmware, as soon as I got the US firmware flashed service popped up.

Tried a Pixel 2 and Galaxy S9, great phones but the size of the XZ2 compact is perfect. I'm excited I got this working! Appreciate the support here!

That's awesome news. I wonder if the US firmware will work with the duel Sim version as well and not cause any problems with the phone.

I got the US version of the phone working on Verizon. I was able to activate it with the new SIM card through the Verizon site. Initially calls and texts were not working, but I figured out that VoLTE was not activated on my line. So I had to add that service to my line. (Before I had a Galaxy S4 Mini, so I wasn't eligible. Although I think my ROM did support it.)

I may have spoken too soon about getting mine working. After flashing to US firmware I could make and receive calls, use data and send texts. But I can't receive texts. Talking with Verizon support last night and this morning, and they can't find a solution. They sent a ticket out on it, but I'm not holding my breath.

If anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear them!

To be clear for me; I am using the Best Buy pre-order version. So the one sold here. As well I was able to both send and receive texts AFTER activating VoLTE, but was unable to do either before. I saw your post and wondered if it was related at tirst, but I don't think so. Best of luck! Dual SIM and 6GB of RAM would definitely be welcome I think for a lot of US users!

I think it's the APN settings, but they are not modifiable on the phone. Researching into that now.

Should have been patient and gone with the US version! I figured I could just flash the firmware and be good to go. Lol.

I worked with Verizon level 2 tech for an hour today at a Verizon store. I have the best buy pre order version in the US. The phone connects to LTE fine, internet works, text messaging works., but phone calls incoming and outgoing don't work. Attempting to call out gives an immediate server error. I have an open ticket with Verizon as the calling not working is clearly not supposed to happen since it is connected to LTE. We also tried a non NFC sim to no avail. Also tried activating a new NFC sim on a pixel2, which added the volte feature to my account but once plugged back into the xz2 compact it disabled volte on my account as visable by the tech in my account. Honestly, I think we have some buggy software from Sony. Has anyone contacted them yet? With how fast the call error appears I can't believe the phone is reaching out to Verizon to get an error code, rather like someone compiled android and forgot to enable phone services. I will attempt flashing the device tonight, but need to find the firmware first. Good luck to us all.

Just a heads up to the people having trouble. This is my experience with the US best buy pre order. The first sim card I tried, an older model that I've been carrying forward for about 5 years, worked for data, calling and sending texts but not receiving texts. I got a new nano sim, says 4G LTE on it, worked with a guy through phone support to get the card activated on a Google model Pixel 2. I then moved the card to the Sony, data and texting worked but I got the server error on phone calls. I had him disable and re-enable advanced calling for my line (voLTE) then I restarted the phone and now everything is working on all LTE bands for calling, texting and data. So far I've had 24 hours of success including taking an update and pulling the sim to insert an SD card. We'll see if it holds up over time, I know the HTC u11 had periods of success followed by issues again on Verizon. Point is of all this is that I've experienced all the listed issues and a competent tech IS able to overcome them by following the steps I just listed. Good luck everybody, this phone is fantastic. Been off the charger for 18 hours with light usage (1.5 hours sot with much of that photos) walking around outside on LTE all day and still have 73% battery.

Update, unfortunately I have not been able to get my Sony Xperia xz2 compact to work on Verizon. It could not make or receive a call. After speaking to 2 different Verizon techs, the phone is missing CDMA and WCDMA is not working with Verizon. The phone could receive data and could send texts, but the phone didn't know it sent the txt.

So as of right now the Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact dose not work on Verizon network. Would like to find out that I'm wrong and their is a way to make the phone work on Verizon. Love the phone size and capability.

There has been a few people that have gotten the US version (single Sim) working with Verizon. However people with the duel sim such as myself I have yet to see anyone get it working. The phone works with 3/4 bands of lte that Verizon supports. So if u have the single Sim version I would look at the posts on what those others were able to do.

I have the xz2c working in Verizon. You don't need CDMA anymore. Look at post 32 in this thread (right above yours).

As I stated earlier in this thread, you simply need to flash the OEM and OEM_Other.sin files from the US Single SIM model H8314 onto your Dual SIM H8324 device and Verizon will immediately connect without a problem. I'm currently running Verizon and T-Mobile side by side on mine.

Verizon runs VoLTE natively on this device without a need to toggle anything, but does not have WiFi Calling. At this point in time, it is not certified for use with VoLTE or WiFi Calling on T-Mobile either.

Can you provide a link to the download man? Also will you still be able to get ota updates if this is done?

Use XperiFirm to download the proper firmware:

XperiFirm

Also, you will not receive OTA updates after flashing. You will need to manually flash the device from that point forward in regards to updates.
I flashed the US firmware from XperiFirm onto my UK single sim model, and while it did connect with Verizon immediately, I can't receive text messages. Everything else seems to work okay. From reading other comments here, it seems a little hit or miss.

Used XperiFirm to download the firmware. Few questions though as I'm not able to follow exactly what you did:
1. I didn't see an OEM and OEM_Extra .sin files in the download. There is an oem_X-FLASH-CUST-B6B5 and oem_other_X-FLASH-CUST-B6B5.
2. What are you using to flash the device?

My device is the H8314 model (Best Buy pre-order). Running build 51.1.A.3.159.

I also re-flashed it using Xperia Companion, and that didn't fix it either. That flashed it back to the same thing, 51.1.A.3.159.
